  1. http://miami.craigsl...3428591021.html The ST is 52, the TT is 53. I'm currently on a 49/52. Is this too big to consider? He sent me more pics, and I can probably talk him down a wee bit in price.
  2. Nice scores!
  3. Thanks. I'm know I'm going to be fine. I'm just antsy to get back to moving around. It seems that every time I'm on the verge of being in really good shape, I do something stupid, injure myself, then have to start up all over again. That starting up process gets slower and is more annoying with every year. Oh well.
  4. I'm in a fiberglass splint.
  5. Antonio wins! Though the iphone pic off the light box or whatever you docs call that thing doesn't help, both the ER doc and my ortho (guy I saw yesterday) said they can't diagnose off the pics, as there is no obvious big new damage, just a messed up arthritic ankle. Problem is that two weeks in, I've no swelling, but can't put any weight at all on it without screaming pain. MRI time to rule out this and thats, but I now have to wait for workman's comp to come back from holiday to set up an appointment. I did get the impression from my ortho doc that he's not too worried and figures that i just came down hard it on, it hurts, and I need to stay off of it until it doesn't hurt, but will be back to normal in a few weeks.
  6. Dan took the workman's comp diagnosis class online.
  7. It's the workman's comp diagnosis this time.
  8. Steve, just noticed that you bumped a 2009 thread. Remarkably, what I posted back then still holds true.
  9. I'm thankful for a lot this year. Right now, I'm most thankful that I'm not working on Friday, which is a first in years for me.
  10. Here, CJ. I'll give you a chance to practice. This is a pic from today's doc appointment. What's wrong with this ankle?
  11. Chris, that's gorgeous. Ride report required asap.
  12. Parris, most of us don't have much to contribute, but that never stops us. How's the Kirk been for you now that you've had it for a bit? I didn't even get on the waiting list until last day (or close) of June, so I'm looking at Spring just to get things started. Areius, I know zip about mountain bikes, but I hope that's one you'll like once you get it the way you want.
  13. Good news, CJ, and good luck to Jacob, though I don't think you need luck.
  14. Happy birthday!
  15. Great pic, Nate!
  16. That bread looks very delicious.
  17. Is that a birthday present?
  18. Well, I just got a text that my friends already registered me for next year, so I guess that 's a done deal.
  19. They just had the closing ceremonies, and the ride was a huge success with 500 riders and many more crew members raising $859,000+ dollars, 100% of which will go directly back to the agencies I listed in the first post. I do want to thank you all for your generous support this ride and cause. Even if I wasn't able to actually make the trip, thanks to you, I feel like I got to take part.
  20. I say this.
  21. Happy birthday!
  22. Amazing what a good night's sleep will do! I'm in a much better headspace today and done feeling sorry for myself. Sorry, I missed the 10 years post, Juan. Congrats, that's pretty wonderful.
  23. I had good news/bad news combo thing going on today with my ankle. Good news: I got this delivered at work today from the workman's comp people: It's nice to take a break from crutches, though I was starting to get impressed with the hulk shoulders I was building lugging my fattage around. I work in a building with long halls and I was getting tired of clomping my way around. This is nice and quiet, and I can even carry coffee and other things. The bad news is that it weighs about 50 pounds, and although I can lift it, I can't angle it into my car while hopping up and down on one foot. So sad. More good new: the nice folks at workman's comp, after sending me to an urgent care clinic on Wed. (wtf? I'd already been to the ER four days prior), who immediately referred me to an ortho doc, actually made me an appointment with my regular ankle doc of the past few years, who is, after much research, one of the best ankle guys in Florida and around. The bad news is that I can't get an appointment for a freaking week and a half due to the holidays. I'd already tried to get one myself with same luck. So...two and a half weeks after being injured, I'll be just starting the process that should have already been underway. I'm hoping the delay for proper assessment and care won't cause any problems that could have been avoided. I'm tired. frustrated. hurting. not happy.
