Done. Go Raffy!
-
I kicked butt at work today and then played Yahtzee all evening with my visiting mother. Nice day. Hoping to get a bike ride in early tomorrow and then a day of music with John, if that's still happening and if it doesn't rain.

Yup. I definitely found some stray cables and whatnots. I actually found a nice HD650 box, but I sold the headphones long ago. Nice smashing things, Ken!

Happy birthday to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

X3 I cleaned out some "junk" drawers. It's amazing the stuff I held on to. I don't even know what some of it is.

Happiest of birthdays to you!

Cool, Raffy. Them some purdy bikes, Jeff and Chris.

Jealous. I wanted to go on a group ride tomorrow out of Tune Cycles, but after spending the past couple days readying the house for my momma's visit, I'm going to rest the bad leg for another week.

Enjoying Tenth of December right now. Thanks for the rec., Ric.

Sounds great, Miguel!

Happy birthday, strangers! Haven't seen you around in a while, but wish you well, especially on your birthday!

Feel better, Salty. Even if you're working, take time to have some fun in Manhattan, Bryan. I can't believe I lived there for 12 years. It seems so long ago, like it wasn't my life at all.

Twenty years in amazing! Twenty years of being a beloved pet is beautiful. RIP Luvbug. As for me, I started a very needed vacation (tomorrow through next Wed.). Mom is coming in this weekend for a couple months, and I'll be readying the house, and hopefully sleeping in a bit.

This. My heart goes out to you.

HC Century meet? Have those friends get you a road bike.

^ You need to recruit. There was no FL Team, when I got my bike. Fortunately, we have the good weather, and it's a no brainer to get out and have some fun. Glad to see you getting out and about on your bike.

John, I thought you said it was the selle italia flite gel you were demoing, so something like that. Look at what Jeff is selling in another thread. If that was the saddle, you might get a deal.

^ That's the way to do it, Jeff!

^ I just pre-ordered Tenth of December. I need some good reading. I've been reading a lot lately, but all work-related books, or nutrition books, or cycling books, and a ton of recipe books, which is funny considering I barely cook and have no intention of doing more than I do now.

Dang, Mike re DeSalvo, but I get it. Only did 23 miles again today, though had planned on more. It was raining most of the way, which wasn't bad. I met John down towards his place and we rode back up slowly (guessing 12-13), and stopped at Luna Rosa for breakfast. My ankle felt great on the bike, but was not so happy once off (mostly due to the weather, I think), so I headed home, rather than picking up the 15-ish more miles I'd wanted to do. At least John got to ride at a more normal speed after I turned off as he was planning on getting in 50 and the rain had stopped. I think I'm going to love the Calfee, though hard to tell from today since I've only put on 23 slow, rainy miles on it, and I was paying more attention to gabbing with John and catching up than to my bike, which in a way is a good thing, since the bike was not asking me to pay attention to it in any way. I will say that the best decision I've made in a while was to change out my handlebars from 40s to 38s. I did so on the Gunnar as well, and tested it out last night for a bit and same feeling. My whole upper body just relaxed since my hands/arms just land where they're supposed to, and I'm not trying to pull them toward me on the bars just to find a narrower, comfy spot. I also think I'm liking the Vitesse saddle, though need more miles on it to be sure. I put my trusty B17 back on my Gunnar and will just have to remember to bring a cover with me as I seem to ride in the rain as often as not. The Gilles Berthoud was almost the perfect saddle, love the hard leather and overall shape, but just a wee bit too convex near the nose, and I wasn't liking that so much. Anyway, I feel good. I'm going to do a group ride out of Synergy tomorrow, hang with the C group, and turn back if/when I need.

Getting ready to head out the door and ride with Mike and John, though they'll be doing a longer ride. This is my first ride on the Calfee, other than in a parking lot, and my first ride with people since early November. Yay!

^ Nice! Happy birthday and good wishes for a fun year!

Wowza, Chris. That even beats my record at gaining, and I have the whole middle-aged woman thing working in my favor at that sorta thing. Sorry, Peter. That truly sucks.

To your health, Nate!

Mike and John, Amy is having a ride out of her place on Sunday (right next door to Coffee District). A, B, and C groups to the Palm Beach inlet. Meet at 7, ride at 7:30. Mike, this is the best part of A1A, and I don't think you've been that far north yet. Really beautiful and no traffic or lights until you hit Palm Beach. Nice ride. I'm probably going to have to ride with the C group and not do the full ride, but I'm joining in. Jeff, bike's looking snazzy.
