Everything is fine now. I just assume when something goes wrong, it's something I need to learn how to fix, because I'm usually the one who messed it up. At least this got me to download Firefox. I rather like it.

I work with a woman who sings constantly. She a very large woman with a very large voice, and she actually thinks she can sing, which she can't. Worst is that she sings mostly jingles, complete with snapping her fingers, if she feels it's necessary, or adding sound effects, disgusting or not. She knows every radio/tv jingle in history and performs unwanted medleys whenever the moods strikes, which is at least 15-20 times a shift. She also likes to dance, and hover near you while doing so. I've resorted to slamming doors, and screaming, "Shut up, bitch!" (in a loving way, of course), and kicking her out, but then she'll come back in the door an hour or so later, dancing and singing. She's the most annoying co-worker I've ever had, but there's also the problem that I actually like and respect her, and she's stunningly good at a job that very few can handle. She's only one of only two or three co-workers I trust to not over or under react to the non-stop crises. Putting up with her singing is better than the thought of not having her around, so we all do. I tried to get her to try on my headphones one day, figuring that it might shut her up, or widen her repertoire, but she says she won't put anything on her head (she's bald) or in her ears ("You people put things in your ears?" On my nerves!"). Maybe I'll just start singing back at her. I'm even worse than she is.

Since today's changes, I can't access head-case with my computer. Safari now says it can't find the server, and Firefox only gives a white page that won't let me do anything except refresh. I've cleared, reset and rebooted for nada. I'm on my phone now, but it only works sometimes as well. Any ideas? I can't be the only one, unless this is part of Nate's revenge plan.

Thanks, guys. It might be time to take a pic or two. Hopefully, I'll be able to get onto this site with my computer (it's only working with my phone, and not even 100% of the time) by then to post them.

The Bailey should be home with me by Monday Now I need new furniture. It's so much nicer to match your furniture to your audio gear, dontcha think?

Now this is worse. I can't get on at all from my computer now, only my phone, and my eyes are too old to type from this damn keyboard. I have a MacBook Pro and neither Safari nor Firefox give me a functioning page. HAAALLLP!

True, but demonstrative appreciation often benefits the guy in return.

Now Vince, that just ain't nice. Ah...I've not been involved in a good conspiracy plot in ages. Could be fun.

Thanks, Mike. Yeah, good thing John is perpetually cruising audiogon. I was at work, sans Internet, and he actually emailed the guy for me to start things off, since I ended up doing an 18-hr shift. It's also a very good thing you are constantly buying new gear. Nate, they are funky speakers, and I got them from Mike when he bought the SuperHemps (now gone). Not only did I get a killer deal, but it came with personal delivery and set up while I basically sat around doing nada. Oh, and I ended up with Mike's F1, too. Selling off any other goodies soon? The Bailey is pretty big. I need to rearrange things a bit, but won't know (obviously) until it gets here. 909, you're right that it does need a sub. Without, it was really limiting my choices in music, as you just want to run over and pull a little more bass fullness out of the speakers. I listen to a lot of single instrument acoustic stuff, small combo jazz, and chamber music. For that it was fine (drop dead beauteous mids and highs), but they got all wimpy with big symphonies, and listening to most rock wasn't great at all.

I pressed "submit" on a post and got blinked into a pastel world with funky lettering I'm not much liking and can't get back! What's doing with this, and what to do about it?

Here's a pick of the speakers & sub, though I think they actually look better in person. Wish this guy would email me back faster.

Now I really need to get a cart now (ooops...typed "cat" at first ). Been using a hardwood, Amish-built jumbo coffee table, but now need to clean things up and make way (fingers crossed) for a new beauty. Nice new avatar and custom title, Vince.

I have the Abbys, and have been scouting around for subs off and on ever since. The Bailey sub almost never comes up for sale at a good used price, and though I know I could pick up a perfectly good sub for less, since the Bailey was made for the Abbys and is a beautiful match, I'm hopeful. I might be shooting myself in the foot by playing price games with the seller, but so far, he's been responsive. Anyway, as I await the next email, here's a pic of what I hope will be mine (as if posting it will make it come true). My modest speaker set up will finally be complete (for now): Exemplar Denon 2900>SP Extreme Platinum>FirstWatt F1>Abbys/Bailey.

Are you planning on being there? That would be great.

So....? Being wrecked is prime time to start the impressions.
