My fucking new iphone just died. It was fully charged. I used it once at work and now it won't turn on. Tried to plug it in and nothing. Tried it with the computer, and it does even show up on itunes. Tried calling it and got vm. Due to work schedule, I can't even get to an AT&T place until late on Monday. This really stinks.

Four minutes left in the second period. The Jackets look like gnats flitting around a big, red, monster machine. Detroit's just too damn good.

Well, Detroit did as I expected, though the Jackets were impressive in the first period. The Wings just shut them down completely in the second and third with only eight shots on goal (I think) by Columbus. Osgood was back in form. The Wings third line was rocking. I love Datsyuk, but he seemed off tonight (not like it mattered much). Lidstrom held Nash completely with only four shots on goal. We'll see if the new guys can come back for the rest of the series, but if tonight was any indicator of things to come, I'm going to revise my prediction of Wings in 5 to Wings in 4. Oh, and Bruins won, too

He said he'd build me one, but then I spent my money on other things. I think the estimated cost at the time was around $4500. I'm pretty sure he gave, or was going to give, schematics to Stephen, and at the time seemed open to sharing info with anyone interested. I didn't get the impression he was interested in any kind of commercial effort, and simply enjoyed building things. I should add that it was also quite beautiful.

A couple interesting match-ups tonight. I'm (of course) more interested in the Wings game, and fully expect them to smoke the Jackets, especially since it looks like Cleary can play. I think they're pulling up Leino with Draper out. But, iirc, the Jackets killed Detroit not that long ago, Osgood has been spotty at best this year, and Mason is amazing. If the Jackets pull this out (I doubt, but would be fun and almost worth rooting for), it would kick off a great playoff series. I can't believe I finally have time enough finally to pay attention to what's going on, and nothing's on tv. It's the playoffs! Why must there be the 900th rerun of Friends on instead?

Nate, I didn't see O2s on the gear list. I can bring the MK1s as well. Here's my post from Mayberry re Frank's amp right after I heard it for the first time. It sounded amazing with every headphone we threw at it. It was the first time I genuinely appreciated the HP2s, and though next to foo_me's Zanden in the room, it proved itself a stunning K1000 amp. I think he's a real interesting DIYer.

I'm curious what Frank Cooter is bringing. The amp he had at Mayberry was one of my favs from any meet. He posted this in the CanJam thread on hf:

dsavitsk, I have heard two different sounding esw9s. The first was my old pair, which was pre-ordered, and the second was a pair bought by vorlon1, who after hearing mine, wanted them. There was about a year difference from when we got them. His pair had almost abrasive highs, and more of a mid-bass emphasis than my pair, which seemed to have a lower-mid range emphasis in comparison. I didn't particularly like his, but he said his "settled down" after a few weeks. I never detected a change in mine, except what could be me just getting used to them after 20-30 hours. I've known Rob (vorlon1) for awhile and have had a few mini-meets with him, and trust his hearing. Hopefully, if you got a pair like his, they will also settle down. If not, maybe they're just not for you.

Well, the idea that I have an extra bed all empty and going to waste is taken away. Now, I may have a bed that's won't be empty, though will be still going to waste, but that's an entirely different matter.
