  1. Nice, danc. I gave the Audeze guys my email at CanJam to order, but they never contacted me. Perhaps I scared them while screaming, "Fuck you!" at their table. Sad for me. Minus points for bad behavior. I would like to hear them again.
  2. This is a new CD for me. I've always been a fan of both Steve Earle and Townes Van Zandt. Love this CD.
  3. I have some lps, but strangely haven't found the need to go the tt route yet. I did just buy a bunch of cds a couple days ago, and thanks to amazon prime, am happily listening to them now.
  4. ^ Didn't pay attention to who the reviewer was, but that's actually a pretty decent take on things.
  5. Thanks for your suggestions, guys. I reinstalled itunes plus did the off on thing with both computer and iphone, and it's working now.
  6. Yuck....and that's coming from someone who likes Larry's work.
  7. Ouch, Al. As a pro with crutches and all forms of knee and ankle injuries, I can tell you that crutches are not as bad as people make them out to be. You just have to get a rhythm thing going, and you can move even faster than just walking. I hope you heal up fast. For the last week of days, I've been doing all the boring things of work and bills and whatnots around the house. I've also been cooking healthy again and back at the gym trying to take this stubborn middle-aged weight off my ankles and knees again. Old injuries tend to show up again years later. Maybe I should be thankful for them. If they weren't hurting, I could probably be perfectly content sitting around adding more poundage, eating tasty treats and listening to music all evening.
  8. Necks: trio from Austrailia, minimalist jazz. Each CD is one track. Just got Aether and Drive By. These guys are completely new to me, and I'd be really interested in what others might recommend, and/or have heard. Gomez: been around awhile, but new to me. Listening to How We Operate right now, and I really like these guys. Open to suggestions to other CDs. TalkTalk: revisiting, starting with Spirit of Eden. Simple Acoustic Trio: Marcin Wasilewski (piano), Slawomir Kurkicwicz (bass) and Michal Miskiewicz (drums). Knew of some of the players through Tomasz Stanko's CDs and Manu Katch
  9. Before I even knew headphone forums existed, I was loving my 580s and microamp. At my first meet, I heard the 650s for the first time, and that was it for me, or so I thought. I eventually settled on the 600s, but the 800s do everything they do better, even with a laptop and pico. Properly matched, I still think the 650s are some of the most amazing headphones around, but I'd like to hear the 800s again when folks have found what rigs really work best. Despite the love/hate reactions people seem to have over these headphones, I do think Sennheiser got it right.
  10. Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but thought I'd see if anyone knew anything first.
  11. Okay, this is a weird one, at least to me. When I plug my iphone into my computer, it doesn't recognize it, doesn't show up in itunes, won't charge, etc. It's like it's not plugged in at all. I've tried the same usb thingy with my ipods and computer, and no problems. I've tried a different usb thingy and still nothing. I've turned it off and on a few times and nothing different. When I use the same usb cord and and connect it to the wall, it charges. I dunno what's going on or what to do. This kinda stinks as I actually started using it for phone/music at the gym, and I wanted to change the tunes in it. Blech. Any ideas?
  12. Do you have access to another computer to try it out there?

    Deals

These are really nice computer backpacks if anyone's looking for such. A coworker has one and he did not pay this price. This is a deal: Amazon.com: SwissGear Backpacks for $34.99
  14. I say walk into a store and mess around with what's there, and pick out the one you like.
  15. Some people on hf are buying back up jh13s for criss sake. I'm quite sure they'd buy a cool case in a heartbeat Depending on the price - are we talking $25, $50 or more? - some more normal people or even most people would be interested.
  16. uh....Ed, you're talking to a group of people who dropped $1000 plus on freaking iems they'd never heard before. I'm not sure I would want one, but it would sell. Yup. Re the lighter-type case. It looks cool, but I'm wondering how the iems would fit down in there and how easy the access would be. The little Westone case I just picked up even has a little pouchy thing (actually made for extra tips) the wax tool could fit in. If the lighter case were as practical and useable as that, I'd pay extra for it.
