Hey Alex . Let us know how you like them through time. I was looking at the Drobo, but I found out when I called them that if the unit goes bad there is no way to recover the data if attaching the drive(s) to an external USB hard drive case. I was pretty bummed when I heard that so I opted not to get it. I also asked if I could pay more to extend the warranty over a year but it was a no go on that as well. I'm glad you are liking it though .

X2. I do like the contrast on the second one more, but both are great. Those skies look at Hawaii but with less clouds. All the pics in Colorado look great Asr. Keep them coming . -
Thanks for sharing this artisit. One of my friends really like smooth jazz and 2 miles is a more spiced up Keiko Matsui smooth jazz to me. I like smooth jazz some of the time too. Cheers.

Nice. Those laptops have a good track record and IBM keyboards are fantastic. Did you get it used or new?

I sure hope so too.

I'll definitely let you guys know how I like it. I was looking at the ASUS 901 that krm mentioned as well. It does have 8 hours instead of 4 hours of battery life and another USB port with wireless at g and n. I just got a good deal from Dell so it was hard to pass up. The guy I purchased it from at Dell is going to waive the restock fee if it doesn't work out for me and pay shipping back on their dime. Overall I am trying it out for about for free I guess. I was also looking at the Asus N10 that will be coming out with 10.2 inch screen but it looks to be more expensive. I hope this works out for me as I'm wondering how it will perform in a real world setting as I haven't had any experience with the new Atom processors from Intel.

Thanks krm. I was looking at that Asus 901 as well. Have fun if you do get it. I'm probably going to use it to surf the web, but I will definitely be using it more for the ability to have all my networking and security tools on it. It is easier for me to go to a site with a smaller laptop to evaluate a network. Don't need a powerful laptop for that.

I am so excited about getting this new laptop. It has 1GB of memory, 16 GB SSD, 8.9 inch LED display (1024 X 600), XP Home SP3, LAN and Wi-fi, weights 2.28 lbs and is pretty small to boot. I can't wait to get this thing in and try it out. Battery life isn't that bad at 3 to 4 hours as well.

Cambridge Audio DacMagic -- $400, balanced.

http://www.head-case.org/forums/audio-gear-sale/4371-fs-cambridge-840c-plus-usb-option.html . I'm using the Cambridge 840c as a DAC too which I have for sale now in the FS forum. I actually have two and the 840C with the GS-X balanced and digital to USB sound great. I might be interested in getting the DAC magic at a later time. Thanks for posting up the new gear. -
That is some good stuff. Glad to see your still alive

Google to release new browser
riceboy replied to blessingx's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
I just installed it and I know it is still in beta, but it was running pretty slow on my computer and eating around 50% CPU. It also crapped out on the install when it was running the script to import my setting on Firefox to it. I just uninstalled it and will install it on my other Virtual machine to test it out further. Overall I'm still happy with Firefox 3 as others have mentioned . -
Played some friendly poker with some new and old friends yesterday evening. It was a blast as I don't get to play poker all that often. Today I just spent the day with the family. It was nice.

This deal expires tomorrow. It is a pretty decent computer for just browsing the web and burning DVDs and CDs. It is $236 before shipping and taxes, but it doesn't have Windows and has Ubuntu 8 All you have to do is take out the included monitor and it comes out to $236.
