Hey Penger. I'm sure he meant that it was supposed to be a 14A unit as the price he charged you seems like the price he was asking of me for a Extreme with a external PS which is 14A. He let me know that the PS would drive my 6528 tubes as well.

I thought we should start a thread of just NFL news, comments, insights, opinions, and team fanfare. I'll start off. The Niners this week has finally beat the Seahawks at their home turf. Last year it was miserable with them scoring just 3 points total in their two meetings. This year the offense is much improved with Mike Martz out there commanding and leading the troops down the field. Also with the addition of J T O'Sullivan as quarterback in the mix has been a blessing. The ball gets there as soon as the receivers are breaking. In the past the receiver would have to wait after they are done with their route for the ball to get there at times. I'm just happy that this year there is real progress and the Niners are improved. Here's to hoping they can take the NFC West, but the Cardinals seem to me the team to beat. I felt that way before the season started and it seems that way right now. Go Niners!

Very well said in regards to the amount of talent these small manufacturers have. My hat is off to them as Kevin has mentioned in this economy it's not so easy. Just as you have mentioned 4n6, I have a great deal of respect for them as it is a hard job which takes a great deal of dedication, commitment and heart.

Thanks Nate for your input. I really do appreciate it. I've been holding off on getting the external power supply and will probably just not get one. The Extreme I use at work has so far been working great so I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed. Thanks again

Thanks Penger for posting up the pics. I actually was interested in an external power supply for the Extremem as you know because of the 6528 tubes. I really like those tubes in my other SP amp and I have talked to Mikhail and he did let me know that the external power supplies he has now with the Extreme would run the 6528 tubes. He did tell me that the Extreme without the external power supply won't run 6528 tubes. Thanks again Penger for taking your time to post up the pics and for everyone who has commented Aloha

Wow. That is pretty warm if your volume knob gets hot. On my 2 singlepower amps they run a little warm, but the knob is not warm or hot on mine. I do have an Extreme and I was looking at your unit . I know there were some issues with a buzz or hum with the volume all the way at max, but the Extreme I have and the PPX3 SLAM I had before didn't have this problem. It worries me to hear that the knob is hot though. If you do open yours up post some pics . Best of luck Eric.

How did you guys like it so far? I've seen a ton of reviews and watched loads of vids of folks using it and it seems to be great. The price was pretty good at the $449.00 with free shipping from Amazon so I went for it .
