Bachelor No. 2 which is also available in MFSL (Both sound excellent) is decent, but I dunno the whole feel of Lost in Space and the Lost in Space track itself (Amongst others) is just awesome for me.

What's by her that's actually better than Lost in Space. I've gotten her two MFSL albums and Lost in Space is just amazing. I haven't heard anything else by her though, so if there's anything >> Lost in Space, I will snatch that noise up in a hurry.

Can tell you that an emu 0404 usb -> 4th gen imod isnt even an upgrade. A sidegrade at best. The 5th gen I can't comment on, but yeah pico is probably still overwhelmingly better. I myself am looking forward to the upcoming dac only version of the Pico with rca outputs. Definitely going to replace the current dac/amp Pico in my Pico -> yamamoto ha-02 -> w5000 work set up.

Eh if bass is super critical for you than L3000 is the way to go for sure. But... I wouldn't go as far as the w5k sucks. I had both and let the L3K go as I couldn't justify using it as a work headphone. The w5000 through a yamamoto ha-02/zana deux or gs-x is definitely a treat... I like it at any rate. Meh. Sourced by the Pico and it goes up a notch or two more.

Yeah I agree too. I mean I don't have a lot of stats/practical figures, but I tend to think that if soft drugs and maybe hard drugs were legalized at least a lot of the violence associated would go away. I'd rather money spent on the war on drugs go towards helping addicts really.... if taxes were like that of cigarettes it'd be potentially a big source of revenue too.

The w5000 extends quite well but bass quantity is definitely negligible. That's good since you weren't sure you wanted to spend 550-700 on a headphone anyways. Fortunately there is another fullsized AT headphone with a good midrange and good bass quantity. They call it the L3000. (I hear the W11JPN might give you what you want as well).

Really? Interesting I find it muchh nicer than the Lavry/Benchmark stuff but it might just be that it's sound signature is merely optimal with my personal tastes.

I'm sure alex would be interested in redesigning it.. but it probably wouldn't be very effective. Since he pretty much builds a whole new dac pretty much nothing of the d-05 would remain while the p-05 could get some mods. Would be cooler is a p-05 modded with his dac (When/if it ever gets released).
