  1. I'm down.. if we can keep the parts cost at around 2.5k - 3k I should be fine.
  2. So.. currently what's your rankings for the stats + bhse with optimal tube configs for each?
  3. Sounds like the thing to do is not mod them though ;p
  4. My black size 41 ksos just stabbed me through the heart Stitching near the big toe has bursted apart :/ Time to see how their customer service is.. apparently they only warranty these things for 90 days after date of purchase.
  5. 175 years old? Wow that's amazing. Congrats to Spritzer's family.
  6. I wouldn't advise opening it up.. the magical pixies might fly out and you'll never get them back in.Besides Wualta probably will just load them up wih NoNoNoNoNoNo-bass.
  7. I think a solid 72 hrs at slightly higher than listening volume did it for me.. mighta been only 48. If it improved further after that.. well its possible but if so it was more subtle. Then again I'm no Jamato8 so there may be mad improvement hr by hr that I am just not able to really keep track of with my weak auditory memory.
  8. hrm ill have to check out vivos... i dunno i got used to the stiffness on the vibrams.. my toes have definitely gotten a bit longer/flexible/stronger. the heat insulation thing is not an issue for me ;p
  9. I have 2 pairs. I'm a big fan. Yeah you get a lot of shit and you have to be a spokesperson a lot, but they are damn comfy. Been playing badminton in them with mixed results. You have to get a pair that fits well to really pull off sports where you accerlate to full speed and then break or turn rapidly...
  10. I took some but I'm a shitty photographer with a shitty camera.. there are some nice pics in the norcal meet pics on this site and head-fi though that do a much better job.
  11. Listening to some Mahler right now.. seems to check out But I'm not ultra familiar with it or anything. The soundstaging meshes very well with symphonic music, but lack of familiarity means I can't speak to say tone.
  12. Should get it balanced I think it does make a difference.. not a huge one, but given that you will be balanced dynafet and BA'd up Why not. Amp brother!
  13. Yeah.. they do improve quite a bit with burn in. Waiting for the balancing act to come before doing a full on shootout with the rest of my crap. I like it.. a great value at what it costed and performs decent for a sub 1k headphone.
  14. Yeah better power supply seems to matter the most for the amp having gone through a gilmore lite v2.. a gilmore v2 and now a balanced gilmore reference.
  15. I dont think he's really spent quality time with it yet.. its been floating around forever in limbo.
  16. Huh interesting. I didn't know those were there.
  17. Sexy that has to be rare as fuck.
  18. I want one too ;p 3-4 sets of boards at least and at least 1 chassis if its an option And of course help with prototyping costs.
  19. I think they sold all of them very quickly but due to a few cancellations last I heard they had a couple left... they may or may not do a few more batches I don't know.
  20. Beer for Breakfast! (Deschutes Brewery Cindercone).
  21. I was going to say! No way a baller like Spritzer would just rock a Target rack.. though Craig Uthus did suggest one to me awhile back.
  22. Damn Elephas.. rolling with crazy EL34s I've never even heard of. You really went all out with tubes
  23. Huh there are Targets in Iceland? Crazy.
  24. Glad you are complete Elephas! Now you just need a better source
  25. The latter test was done with these tones: Test Tones (20-20khz) I could still hear 20Hz but it was softer then was on the youtube... 30 Hz was no problem though.
