Isn't this what the R65/66 prevents on the Rev. C boards? So the input does't get completely lifted.

I didn't hate the DT880-250, a friend of mine is running these from a Pico DAC + Objective 2 rig I sold him. I absolutely hated how my HD650 sounded from that rig, but the DT880 was okay. The kind of okay that didn't wow or bother me, but I felt that with brighter recordings it had the potential to cause ear fatigue.

Yeah, I've found that low output impedance is a must with IEM's, especially multi-drivers. Tubes usually have a pretty high noise floor but as some have pointed out - sometimes it doesn't prove problematic.

Well, you could always find someone crazy enough to do it for you... It isn't actually that hard, took about 6 hours for me.

The QRV08 is a very silent amp due to the four shunt regulated PSU's. Not too expensive to build either. I find it to sound better than the Dynalo I built and a Violectric V200 I've borrowed.

If it happens only when playing bass then the driver is shaking up some crud or touching a hair. Happened all the time with my Grado, but never with Sennheisers.

I am not sure if anyone over at HF is really able to do something with the info you provide. Sure, bad soldering, exposed wires, thin PCB's, hurr durr... The implications about these kind of things are not obvious and would rather be judged by: 1) just their aesthetic values - if the insides aren't pretty then sure, it must be crap. 2) conclusions would be drawn entirely based on the authority which provides the info - I'm sure many still regard Kevin and Birgir as knowledgeable about electrostatic gear. However there are plenty who see your agenda in this as shills for Justin and the new Icelandic amp conglomerate which goes by the name "Mjolnir Audio" (which, as we know, is totally ripped off from Schiit). What about posting your findings at DiyAudio? Is that against their policies? Sure, you won't get as much popular exposure, but DiyAudio is more on neutral terms with HF and additionally you might get some respectable supporters from there.

Is that at opamp outputs or amp? Ideally you should try to get zero mV on servo opamp outputs.

DC offset in mA? You should be trying to dial in the quiescent currents of the transistors to the correct values, wait for temps to settle and then hunt for zero mV DC on output. Then plug in the opamp and it should take care of the transients until normal working temps are achieved. If you are using soldered in opamps then be sure to measure DC at the opamp output pin rather than the output of the amp.

Has someone done spectral readings on this thing? Would be nice to see the objective improvements by doing the active device swap. If it is as bad as you say a dummy load + voltage divider should do the trick together with a simple mic inlet. Maybe even compare it to a KGSS/HV?

They might've tried writing "dirsties" which means to talk shit to each other. The proper equivalent to "fuck you" would be "ej dirst" which literally means - "go take a shit". A more well sounding and aggravating way to say it would be "pis dirst" which is extremely hard to translate because the literal translation would be - "fuck yourself to/until [you] take a shit/shit yourself". Fucking amateurs.
