What did you do today?
Reinstalled and configured Arch Linux + KDE_Mod, watched Canada beat the US in hockey, got baked, ate chocolate.

Apple Tablet
Well, it is certainly not as powerful as a laptop and is small form factor. That's what I'd call a netbook, but I guess everyone has their own terminology. It's either that or an iPod touch that you can't fit in your pocket. I'll have a look over some of the previous posts to see your take on it.

Apple Tablet
Well, I'm entitled to one. I'm not anti apple, but this thing is ridiculous. A quasi netbook with no keyboard that has a touchscreen and can only run apps from the iphone store. You don't see any glaring problems with that?

Apple Tablet
I don't think I'll be reading 37 pages, but just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. Looks like a useless piece of crap to me.

Happy Birthday philodox!
Hey guys! Thanks so much for the birthday wishes... it seems I don't qualify over at head-fi any more. Well, I'm a month late, but I've been so busy and my computer has been so broken that I haven't gotten around to replying until now. I should be building a new computer after Christmas, so you can expect to see me around here more after that is done. I had an amazing birthday. My Mom and little sister surprised me with a visit from Edmonton, Rachel threw me an awesome birthday party, and there were even some head-case'ers there. [Thanks for coming guys, it was a blast] I'm about to head out to Ottawa for Christmas with Rachels family, but one of the things on my agenda when I get back is reconnecting with this place. It's been too long. Thanks again and I hope you all have a great Christmas!

Toronto meet at philodox'
Yep, she knows. To be fair, it was Kevins amp that was picking up the radio not mine. As Renato said, it wouldn't fit. We found some rubbery door stopper thingies that worked well as feet though. It does! Creepy. It was a great meet. Nice to see the cool kids again. Saw a crazy ripped pic of Matt [xand1x] in the show your face thread and realized I should have invited him. Oh well, there is always next time. I continue to love the PS1 and HP2. Rediscovered my affection for the RS1 and have decided to keep them. Bloody recession is making it impossible to sell them anyways. Need to spend more time with Kevins sexy new source at the next get together. Rachel couldn't stop talking about how crazy big it was. Keeps telling her friends that some weirdo had a $20,000 CD player at our place. My rig drove most of the Grados pretty damn well, even unbalanced. All except the PS1000, which sounded much better out of Kevins amp. I still don't love them, but they are definately a contender. Not a piece of crap like their little brother the GS1000. Renato supplied me with beer at the meet and forgot to take his door prizes, but I'll hold on to them for him.

I really like my crazy-old gerrard and marantz setup and if you arent too picky about condition you could get that for $350 easy.

Post the last thing you bought!
No, but it does cause you to put on weight... which sort of negates the whole 'diet' aspect of the drink. mmmmm That looks yummy.

Grado storage carrier
That's pretty sweet. Now I just need to get 2 more grados... or carry around a bunch of cupcakes with my headphones. One of the two.

who here likes rap?
Most of this stuff could be classified under other genres, but would be considered rap or hip hop by most... alias prolyphic castheadwork a tribe called quest public enemy [i love Chuck D] tupac snoop dogg [really only the doggystyle album though] Not much of a list, but I love what is on it. Much of the rest of the music I listen to has elements of rap in it. When I think about the music that I really love, it stems primarily from jazz, dub/reggae and rap/hip hop. I don't understand how someone can completely discount rap. It is most definitely music and some of it is really good.

Perfect songs.
Some good songs here and some that I'll need to be checking out. I'm just going to keep listing songs as I hear them rather than trying to remember a list all at once, but with that said... ulrich schnauss - goodbye

MB Quart QP 85 advice
Hey all, Sold my pair of QP 85's to Dusty Chalk and the foam on the earpieces is deteriorating. Anyone on here have any experience with them or any of the other MB Quart float style headphones? Any ideas how to disassemble them or what the foam should be replaced with? Thanks in advance, Jay

Perfect songs.
I'm not a genesis fan, but I've been curious based on some peoples attachment to them here [postjack], so I'll definitely check that out. I recognize the name 'harmonium', but I'm not sure if I've heard that specific track. Will have to look it up.

Perfect songs.
Now, Renato is going to think I am drunk... and he is somewhat correct, but I just had an epiphany of sorts and decided to start this thread. If there is already a similar thread on the go, I'm sorry, but I'm not searching for shit at this point. Just doing a little spring cleaning and spinning some vinyl and I was struck by the perfect beauty of Stevie Wonder's 'Ordinary Pain'. Any other songs that you think are perfect?

Symphones "MAGNUM" pre-order and discount
Very tempted... maybe if I sell my RS-1's, but that's a big maybe. Nice to see you the other day Rhydon, we need to do that again sometime soon.
