I thought since it is USB it didn't have drivers.

Is that always the case? Peter is a pretty big tube nut, likes tubes for everything... but he actually prefers solid state rectification. I wonder why.

Happy Birthday Buddy!

For 6H30's you've got two choices. New production Sovteks or old production Sovteks. They are identical as far as I can tell, so I'd go with new production to save money. Parts Connexion sells them. Renato [looser101] and I have tried a bunch of 6GC7's and 6GU7's in both of our amps and found that the RCA 6GU7's are the best... they are also quite cheap. You really need to see a pic of Renato's Aikido... it's a beast.

Some cosmetic surgery is covered, it is hard to say without knowing the particulars (and I'm no expert).
-
I saw it in theaters, advance screening. Didn't tape it, sorry.
-
I saw extinction last night, pretty good... you get to see Wesker a bit.

Thanks for that explanation, it clears a few things up for me. I guess you guys have it a little better than I thought, but it sounds like it would be easy for someone to fall in the area where you don't have coverage and cant afford it. That is a shame. Sort of like when I tried to get a student loan for college and was told that my Dad made too much money for OSAP even though there is no way he could spare me enough. Then I go to the bank and try to get him to cosign for a student load there... turns out they do their check differently and base it on the amount of money you have left after bills/etc. He didn't make enough to cosign for a loan. Brutal. Had to get my Mom in Alberta to cosign. EDIT: That was sort of a random story... my excuse is lack of sleep. Went to see the advance screening of RE:Extinction last night and didn't get to sleep until 2 in the morning.

Oh man, I need that shirt!

All this talk of getting treated now.n and paying later... I'm assuming you are talking about emergency room visits? Like a gunshot wound or a heart attack? What about cancer?
-
Really? Like what?
-
Um, I just thought they would both be funny drunk. Who's into gay porn? Worry about the money later? Ok.
-
I think somebody is taking this a little more serious than I...
-
Fuck that, we need to get Billy and Eaphan drunk and tape it.
-
Are you guys new? Every other day there is a thread like this...
-
I know it wasn't intended this way, but that is a great selling point: "Come to the United States, where our hospitals are incredible, but you are likely to get shot dead."
-
So, the hospitals get to keep more of the money in the US? I guess I can see how a Doctor would prefer to work in the US given that it is easier to get work. From the perspective of the citizen though, I think our way is preferable... or at least to the middle/lower class. Why?
-
From what I've seen and heard it is, but I'm not everywhere, so you very well could be right. As for the residency positions stuff, I don't really know anything about that, so I'll take your word for it. Sounds like a stupid move though, I wonder what their rational is?
-
Looks like you're getting started to me.
-
Like what? *sigh* Of course I understand the distinction. What I can't understand is how someone could possibly live without medical coverage. One visit to the hospital and you are in the poor house, no thanks. This is why I see no difference between the two... a tax, or a fee that you can choose to pay, but if you don't then you're fucked. Sorry, Canada isn't ethnically diverse? [it is quite possible I am misunderstanding what you were saying there as there were quite a few big words. ] Yep, it was a problem for a while there, and guess what? They used our tax dollars to fix it.
-
I've never had a problem with the hospitals here, and have had sick relatives who all received great treatment. Ok, but then you pay for it, so I fail to see how that is any different than paying taxes. Fair enough. I think your other post was poorly worded in that case. Cool, costs money though right? Man, this is a hot topic, though the discussion has veered a bit... every time I try to post there are 2-3 new posts to check.
-
You don't have a fucking clue what you are talking about. As for US hospitals being 'teh best', I'm sure some of them are. You've got a lot of people down there, and private businesses love to make money. Unless I am missing something, you don't have medical coverage.

I don't read fark, so your joke [i'm sure it was a good one] is lost on me.

I like whiskey too much for my own good.
