Doggystyle was released in 1993. I'm with you on most everything else that he has released, but I really like that album. What rap do you like?
-
Snoop must have touched you in a bad place when you were little and you've blocked it out and lashed out at his music as a defense mechanism. That is the only way that this makes sense to me.
-
hehe, OK! I'll get the fucking drift the next time I see it!
-
Someone needs to listen to doggystyle again. The skits aside [i haaate skits] it is a great rap album. I can't conceive of anyone who likes rap not enjoying it.
-
I love 2pac and really don't know a helluvalot about Biggie, but Snoop kicks both their asses... at least on doggystyle he did. At the end of the day though, I find myself listening to Tribe Called Quest more often, along with my 'new' favourite... Busta Rhymes [thanks Jay ].

Have you heard his Ugly Casanova album Post? I don't mind Modest Mouse, but Ugly Casanova was really great. Jay - Biggie wouldn't be biggie if he followed your advice. Don't hate on him just cuz he's a big boy.
-
You recall correctly, however, I don't think that defense is completely bulletproof. I will definately pick up the drift if I see it used, but no way am I paying full price after the introduction I've received. Nate - I do like Mezzanine, but I prefer their earlier stuff, Blue Lines in particular.

I'm with you if you mean amazingly cheesy and overrated. Man, I'm losing a lot of friends today. I thought you were digging Massive Attack at the recent meet?
-
And here I thought I liked you. \ I agree that Portishead is boring... I've never understood why people put them up on a podium. To me it is just standard middle of the road trip hop. That said, I still like them, just get irritated at how everyone else seems to LOVE them. Radiohead has a couple good songs, but in general I think they suck monkey balls. Tried listening to Flaming Lips recently and didn't really get it. Oh, and my number one pick... Scott Walker

Don't know who the fuck he is, but I wish I could get 80 CD's of people I do know for that price!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

I've never had a teacher whack me with his bone. What kind of messed up school did you go to???
-
LOL, Dusty has mad skills.

Ok, good. Had me worried there. Parts Connexion used to sell the new stock sovteks for under $20. I've never tried the electro harmonix ones.

Well, when I buy an item in the $100-$500 price range I usually say something like: "If you wouldn't mind marking down the value of the item a bit, it would help me avoid some taxes, but I understand if you choose not to." Is that being a wanker? I've never forced someone to do it, and with certain items or very high dollar items I actually ask that they declare the full amount and insure it to help avoid any problems with me receiving the package. I would also never back out of a sale because someone decides not to under declare. That is their choice, and I respect it. I've actually had a couple people under declare packages they've sent to me without me asking for it. Luckily enough this has worked in my favour, but it is the reason that I now ask that they declare full value when it is an important item.

Wait, which BG game allows you to be a Kensai?

Yeah, small world. He got the tattoo after we stopped hanging out, but that didn't stop him from showing it to me in the middle of the street when we bumped into eachother after he had gotten it. It is pretty cool, but kind of overly large for the amount of detail IMO. I like mine better.
-
I actually know that guy. We used to hang out and play pen & paper Planescape [AD&D], but he got all snobbish and weird. I still see him every once and a while as he is a cashier at the supermarket that I get groceries from. Also, I agree, Morte was a great character.

Lots of high end sources have word clock input. You know that pro audio gear can get pretty pricey too right?
-
Anyone who has played Deus Ex that has also played Planescape: Torment? That is my favourite RPG for story line. I've yet to play Deus Ex though.

Bah, jitter reduction shmitter reduction.
-
I think that is a pretty good deal, congrats.

I'm not saying anyones rig is bad, but I've always found coax digital connections to be superior to optical digital connections when you use a good coax cable. In a computer as source setup optical is preferable though since it doesn't pick up as much noise from the computer.

That's true, and I don't think he has as discerning ears as we do. They can sound quite nice for the price when amplified properly, but at that point you are spending much more on the amp than on the headphones. I'll let him try them anyways, and if he likes them that is the way we'll go. Otherwise I'll look into these Stagg headphones and the Phillips. Thanks for the help guys and girls.

Actually, I have a pair of HD201s in my closet, but sort of ruled them out since they are a bitch to drive. Maybe I'll bring them over to his place to try them out just in case. If memory serves, the cord is pretty crazy long on them stock.
