I'd like to see that 16 dac one, but with the tubes the 8 dac one uses, balanced output, and some crazy huge film caps.

Is it worth the cost? I thought that this whole TDA NOS dac business was just one of those weird money sink things that didn't really compare with more modern designs... though I could be [and frequently am] wrong. I wonder if there are any DIY designs like that APO/NWO/whatever thing that everyone is talking about? Now that would be something.

Though I do think Jay is wrong here, I think he is less of an asshole than he is being made out to be. I think he just has an issue with 'internet speak' or whatever you call it when you type a post and it looks reminiscent of something my little sister would send to me through MSN. Huh? Photoshop isnt easy to learn either buddy. As for Gimp having limited functionality... I guess I'm not using either piece of software for as advanced purposes as you, because I haven't noticed it.

I didn't say it was the best, but I don't think it is 'gimped'. I also have Photoshop CS3 on my XP computer, and find it just as difficult to use as the Gimp.

Sounds like someone hasn't taken the time to learn how to use Gimp.
