Now I’ve listened to the RR 1 headphones for a couple of days and I still take vitamins from the left cabinet. Suddenly the right side begin to play very low, which gave me a good reason to disassemble the headphone. It turned out that the wire to front stator was loose. Wires are connected to stators and diaphragm by running M2 bolts through holes in the driver unit and with wire simply put in their respective hole with its bolt. As some of you maybe know I dislike things like terminal blocks and want wires to be soldered direct in place. So now wires are soldered in place with solder lugs and I’m happy again.

Looking forward a glimpse of your final enclosure. I’ve no suggestions regarding reducing the gain. Maybe there are folks out there that have.

Thanks for image. Indeed very creative built. No need for fancy cabinet I’d say, unless you have children or cats. Maybe an IR module with the motorized potentiometer for remote convenience.

Congratulations to your successful build of the Carbon. The world needs more good amplifiers. Do you mind post some images?

Great, thank you. To be able to see the trailer I had the VPN service pointing to U.S. I’m sure this is what I saw tonight on the Swedish Public Service.

Swedish television sent a documentary tonight “Miles Davis – Birth of the Cool” https://www.svtplay.se/video/25354227/miles-davis-birth-of-the-cool , can only be seen in the Swedish mainland?. Maybe a VPN service pointing to Sweden might help. Speaker voice and sub title in Swedish, but the rest in English. And the music speaks for itself. Else – Kind of Blue – 31 versions on Qobuz?! Qobuz has 13 versions of Miles Davis – Birth of The Cool. A marketing trick signed Philip Kotler?

IMO you need steel screws to apply adequate torque – what now that might be? I apply 81 Ncm – but PEEK is certainly OK.

When Art Blakley – Moanin' finished my Roon recommended: Miles Davis – Birth of The Cool Date recorded 21 Jan 1949 -9 Mar 1950. (Ref. Roon)

A gentleman told me about the electrostatic amplifier Sirrah designed by Andreas Rauenbuehler. See http://www.high-amp.de/ . Inspired by Sirrah I draw this sketch… …20 mA per channel. Accompanied with small GRHV regulators and 50VA transformer - could be built in a small box for the bedside table? maybe it won't work at all.

I like this “beginner”, his first album? Wow! Thank you. P.S. His touring …

Thanks a lot, mwl168 and jamesmking. Your information indicates – as I interpreter it - the voltage differential is in the region 30 – 40 volts. Good to know.

84,3 VA. Voltage * current of each winding. Then add VA of all windings. Done. Reservation for errors!
