  1. HBD ....hope it was a great one!
  2. How much do you want for the R10? Is this bass light or heavy? Did you purchase this from Yahoo Japan?

  3. Happy BD!
  4. Price correction on the mbl. The listed is 70k not 45k as I thought. Will post some pics in couple days as my photobucket just went unresponsive after trying to upload pics of the event few minutes ago.
  5. Thanks to Tom and his wife, Lyra, for taking my wife and I to listen to the the Ampeggio speakers. To our ears, they were the best speakers that we listened on the show or at any where else. They managed to do this with just minimal electronic in comparison to other big names mfgs. No SACD/DVD/high res non-sense here, the Ampeggio just produced beautiful music from just redbook materials. Really, this thing just sounds real to my ears. Their imaging, clarity, naturalness of tones, and the resolving abilities were outstanding. Of course, the only problem is the price tag. At 27K, anyone with that kind of speaker budget should seriously consider them. My wife who has better ears than I do, also think the same way. IMO, the Amgeggio just sounds more real and have better resolving power than the 45K mbl 101E with over 70K of electronic behind them. I was seriously impressed and returned for more auditioned b/f leaving event. Due to prior commitment, I was not able to attend the show on Sunday. BTW, Moon-audio was also there showing off his new line of speakers. They sounded good but he probably face some serious competition at that price point. Smyth Realizer was there as well, and his surround demonstration was just out of this world. I hope their products are more affordable so I can own one. It was a great show and I wish everyone was here to enjoy them. I didn't talk to Fitz, but I hope he did attend and enjoy the event as well.
  6. Is that Andy ascending to audio nirvana with his SR009 and T2 rig?
  7. Hey Mike!!! A big HBD to ya!! Report back what 32 feels like, so I can look forward to it next month!
  8. Thanks KG. I'm in for a balanced version of the board as well.
  9. Hope you guys can work this out. Will not be able to join the group buy as I just ordered BHSE couple weeks ago and a pair of SR007 MKI. Live my dream gang!
  10. I notice that as well. They are part of Absolute Sound right?
  11. Qualia is the most revealing for me. Oh well, just saw the 3 figure price tag.
  12. The $4450 is more accurate figure. One of the member confirmed with me that the price got increased slightly from $4200 to $4450.
  13. I'll confirm that number again. But in any event expect around at least $700 saving per set if we create a group buy.
  14. The price for the group buy in Thailand is $4200 per set. I confirmed this with a gentlemen who is part of the group buy. I still can't believe 10 people in Thailand wants to be in on this. One member actually ordered two!! I will let you guy try this out first and maybe...only maybe, I'll get one at the end of this year or early next year. I need an amp to drive Stax headphones.
  15. We are hoping you will Here hoping the price of the OII will drop slightly with the SR009 craze!
  16. Well it make sense and it has been awhile since his last headphones related purchase. Also, anyone with BHSE & T2 is the prime candidate to try out the 009.
  17. Really? Oh well. We still have Andy, Birgir, and Elephas to give us impression of the SR009 on their BHSE/T2 rig.
  18. I meant both. Though I'm not sure whether they always stick to their original MSRPs or not, but exchange rate will improve eventually. Still, I'm just glad that Stax continues to push the envelope. I just hope that several SR009 will be at CanJam this year so we can have impressions soon.
  19. At least the SR009 will be available for awhile and price will fall eventually. I wish the exchange rate is more reasonable. Andy will you be the first to give this a try?
  20. They are now fear that there could be a melt down to the core of the two reactors. Hope situation will improve soon. Heck earthquake is bad, but a tsunami is worst. Given the number of the expect death toll, this is much better than the Asian Tsunami event of 2004.
  21. Happy Birthday man!! Hope you are having a great time!
  22. Happy Birthday man!
  23. Happy Birthday man!
  24. I plan on attending but not sure about setting up the gear there yet. If I decide to setup anything there, it will be the Balanced Gilmore Reference and the HD800 with an upgrade cable.
