Can't wait for game five between OKC & SAS. Personally I would I love for the Spurs to win, but I will be okay seeing OKC making it as well. I wonder who will come out of the West though.... I think both OKC & SAS can best the Lebron and the gang but I'm not sure if OKC will be up for it.

We do miss you around here. Have a great birthday Ari!

A friend of mine have it so I will probably need to give it another listen again. How do you guy liking the HE-1000? I have those and they are better than the Ether open but the craftsmanship is rather disappointing. My biggest problem with the HE-1000 is somewhat diffused and small headstage.

That was bad by the fan but the better team won that night. As a Spurs fan, I'm worried that the Thunder is starting to get themselves together. KD was so clutch down the stretch in the forth quarter of Game 4 and Kawhai & LaMacus were bad when it matters most. I wouldn't mind seeing the Thunder competing with the Warrior for the conference final given that it is likely will be more fun. Last night Curry was so precise from the arc...man he was so great in the OT and pretty darn lethal! Eastern conference is just so weak with bunch of bad teams for Lebron and the gang to roll over. My Halwks were not even competitive.

When I had the Ether Open here, I thought it was a really good headphones but I just enjoyed my HD800 better out of my ECP DSHA-0. I agree with your price point however that it should be closer to $1200 than $1500.00.

What do you think of the amp..sound wise?
-
That too. I have not listened to them in several months now. Need to sell them tho but they sound so very nice with SuSy Dynahi.

I have the OPPO 105 and thought that it was muddied and congested compared to the Yggy. Yggy was clearly a better DAC. YMMV. I was referencing the 105 because they are supposed to share the same DAC and analog output circuit. @spritzer My reason for wanting a native DSD option is because going from DSD > PCM (editing) > DSD and another conversion to PCM in Yggy could result in a loss in sound quality. I once converted my DSF file into 24/192 via Jriver and did observed a drop off in sonic refinement. Honestly speaking, I wish SACD was never created and they all went with hi-rez PCM/DVD-A option.

Just very sad....RIP Prince. I wish to his last Concert...here in Atlanta.

Know that too..but some were real DSD records.
-
I do agree with that. I just happen to have a lot of DSD rips...hence my reason..and I do prefer them over regular lossless which is due to better mastering.

I actually bought their B-stock unit and it does have some dent on a side panel. Still it sounds lovely through its coaxial input. Wonder if they will ever do a DSD upgraded option?

Recently got a chance to audition the Lotoo Paw Gold and this DAP, despite its high price, is definitely the best sounding stand-alone portable digital player I've tried to date. Bass is so very texture and the overall tonality is quite neutral and natural. The spatial qualities are well done and the depth of the soundstage is rather convincing. It comes with 500 mw into 32 ohm so it drive my HD800 very well. It edges out my ZX100, ZX2, and a friend QP1R during my short time with it. Sadly it doesn't have any digital output feature and the UI is very basic. It takes a full-size SD card, so one can easily take along 512GB of music with you. Battery life is rated at 10 hours.

The biggest problem that I have with them is rather small size soundstage compared to other top end headphones. Beside that I found them to be quite enjoyable. They pair amazing well with my Susy Dynahi. Build quality is only decent IMO. I personally would take the 800S over them if paying full price.

The USB Gen 3 input is notorious for being bright. Couple of my friends used to have that problem until they switch to coaxial input.

That gotta be the coolest DIY T2 ever.
