I was not happy with the unit because my original unit had the channel imbalanced issue as well as significant hum with lower impedance headphones with SE output. Took them couple of times to fix it right. It is functional now and I always think of getting rid of it....but the form factor is nice for work....but yes...I take the old Headroom Ultra Desktop (Last desktop Max from Headroom) over this amp.
-
It wasn't bad sounding but a properly designed amp such as the GS-1 with a Dynalo Plus module is much better sounding. Agreed with the build quality though. They sold 1000 units at an average price of $700.
-
Gotta love their limited 20-warranty period though.
-
But their build quality has improved right per you & KG's suggestions.
-
They are coming out with a new line of amps so they are clearing them out. sold out already though.
-
Yup, the L700 is quite a nice sounding phones for the price. Agreed on the heavily sponsored brands take on headfi. With the new plugs and rather inefficient design, Dan can partner with Cavalli to make a new amp for it. A win-win for Mr. Speaker, Cavalli, and Jude.
-
Yup, very inefficient. The BHSE needs to go between 3-4 PM at the Atlanta meet to drive the Ether E. New plug? Definitely a wrong move by him...as well as coming up with a cheaper and better amps for his Ether E.

Have a great birthday.

I was rooting for the Warriors but I have to hand it to LBJ and Irving. The Carvs were super clutch down the stretch while the Warriors were living and dying by the 3 toward the very end! Hate to admit but I'm starting to be LBJ fan. His defense was superb through out the series.

Have an awesome Birthday!

I'm with you on this. Yup...totally.

That suspension of Green really have repercussion effects. Bogut had to work extra hard as he was the sole interior defense so as Iggy. Steph is clearly injured. I think the Warrior is done. They likely will keep it close for 3 quarters and run out of gas toward the end. Congrats to King LBJ for his third titles. NBA should be proud for having a hand to change the outcome of the game. LBJ did show up the last couple of games no doubt...but that was done to a team with roughly no interior defense left.
-
Well he was missing left and right last night from the outside but he really struggles when you put a good defender in front of him. I'm sure he isn't 100%...but then LBJ mind is never 100%.
-
Steph is having a tough time playing against a more physical guards however. Yep, very much in agreement that the lack of premier interior defenders really open up the lane for LBJ and Kyrie.
-
Very true Wayne. And at one point James basically threw Curry to the ground. He didn't even get a call for that. LBJ is getting a preferential treatment from the refs.
-
No I understand that, but what he did was just uncalled for. I'm waiting for the "Chosen One" to loose another NBA Final though.
-
I would do more to hurt James if he does that to me. You can't just disrespect another person like that. He couldn't have gone left or right but instead chose to do that. I hope Golden State wins big tonight.

John, What tube are you running on both the BHSE and T2? Superb builds John!
-
It has to be at least decent for that price!

I think their marketing team is likely to blame here. Audeze did a darn good job at marketing though. The Sine is now available in some Apple stores the last I heard. Hell, they should at least released a decent sounding amp. Bring back the SRM-717 and they will be competitive with higher end Audeze & Hifiman without having to go the third party route.
-
Oh well, time to replace the transformers on both the T2 & Carbon. Oh wait...does Justin use the SumR on the BHSE too?
-
Not only that he is getting the BHSE, but he is also getting the KGSSHV Carbon as well. Maybe he has finally come to the conclusion that the BHSE can actually sound a good bit better with NOS tubes and a chance of owning such amp will be no more once it is sold out. His KGSSHV was pretty highend built though, so it probably was not too far apart sound wise from David's BHSE with stock tubes. Maybe Geoff (headinclouds) can chime in about his built as well. I agreed that HF Stax thread is often get out of hand. Still, I don't mind defending KG's amps from time to time. My posted got delete by simply saying "the other site".
