Well..it isn't that bad in term of location. I used to be able to get a reception with AT&T. I'm extremely pleased with their pricing policy but the coverage can be spotty in some areas.
-
I have T-Mobile also and coverage can be an issue as well in rural Georgia. I often lost cellphone reception if I travel to those areas. In the city, they are really good.
-
I bet the SRX Plus does sound amazing.
-
Can you do that at a source end? I am just using the Yggy into either the BHSE, and Carbon....and honestly I like them just about equally with maybe a tad to the BHSE. I'm using NOS Holland XF4. Note that I do like the SR009 to begin with.
-
Actually I do find the pairing very nice overall. The Aristaeus warmth & sweet sounding nature does work very well tonally with the SR009 as well as a more seductive vocal. Yes, it isn't as powerful compared to the KGSSHV, Carbon, BHSE, and T2...but it certainly compete with the KGSSHV in my book. Of course, we all have our preference but I can agree with many here that the Aristaeus doesn't have enough power to properly driven the SR007.
-
So how many are left now Justin? Get them fast people...this is also a really good amp for the SR009.
-
Sure...let's keep the "happy birthday" going for Aaron!
-
Carbon is the right choice for your next amp. However, the Aristaeus is a little sweeter sounding however, it lacks the sense of power compared to the BHSE or Cabon for the SR009 and even more so for a harder to drive SR007.
-
it is a beautiful looking amp for sure but it doens't have the sheer sense of power as the BHSE. However, the tone can be a little more seductive. I'm running 4 Valvo ECC86s & 2 Mazda 12AXs chrome plate on mine.
-
Well this one is super nice IMO plus the price isn't too bad. Then again I don't know how it will fare out of my Dynahi. Out of the GS-1 Dynalo+, I like it better than the HD800 & HEK.
-
The Aristaeus just match better with the HE90. Birgir, is it "Ari #19" on yours? I actually prefer the HE90 out of the T2 more than the Aristaeus BTW.
-
Thanks Doug. I can't wait to hear your amps again. I wonder how other headphones will sound out of the Copenhagen and DSHA-2.
-
I'm probably wrong here but Doug was using the HD800 classic primarily with his amp during the Canlanta meet.
-
Glad to have your impression as well. I wasn't sure how it will fare against the HD800/s on the top end rig given that the Senn usually can scale higher than most headphones. Plus Doug is now voiced his amp exclusively for the HD800 (could be wrong here), so I can see why you will enjoy the HD800 better out of your DSHA-4.

RIP to the victims. I'm not sure if France can do any better regarding their intelligence stopping such attack. It appears that the terrorists plan to change their way of life.

Congrats....Yay!!!

Yes, I have to agree. The Flow is a great headphones in my book based on a short auditioned session. It is definitely considerably earlier to drive than both the HD800 and HE1000.
-
The reason that I prefer to have 24/192 via USB is because of the convenience since I have several albums in 176.4, 192, and DSD. I also plan to use my zx2 to USB digital out to the ZDAC and my zx2 downconverts DSD signal to 24/176.4.

Have the money ready...it is very musical headphones. The best part is that I don't feel that soundstage restriction that often plague most ortho phones.
-
Matt (mattyice) brought the Flow over yesterday and I am mightily impressed by the sound. On my ECP Dac + Headamp GS-1 (dynalo +) module, I prefer them over both the hifiman HEK and Senn HD-800. I found them to be very fast, cohesive, dynamics, and immensely enjoyable with a good soundstage (something that the HEK wasn't good at). I am usually not easily impressed by newer headphones, but I have to say this one got my serious attention. I actually wish I can own one right now. Still, I think that the gap between the three phones maybe closer on my home balanced setup consisting of the yggy + susy dynahi / ECP audio DSHA-0. On the GS-1, the Ether Flow was simply a better sounding headphones to my ears by noticeably margin. I usually find the HD800 to scale better than most headphones hence the comment on my home balanced setup.

maybe something in the $600 range.

I need a DAC with a USB input for work so I placed an order as well. Probably will get here early next week. Is the ZDAC really that good for the price? USB is capped at 24/96.

Tim D is my favorite player...man...this sucks now. I'm sure Manu will follow. Getting Gasol to replace him is now making sense.

This would be my dream "take-it-every-where" setup.
