  1. As I mentioned, I've just started playing darts again after having a few years away from the game. The last board I had at home was a Winmau which I was very happy with, but decided to get that Unicorn for a change. The darts I have that I've had for sometime are Unicorn, 22g and barrel length around 50mm, but because I'm not throwing with much authority now, those darts sometimes fall out the board, so I might get some Gary Anderson 25 or 27g darts which look similar to those I have shown in the photos. With that said I'm open to suggestions about different darts. Here are my darts. ( Sorry about the not so clear photos ) The flights look a bit flimsy, so I've ordered a few of that in the other photo.
  2. Started playing darts again. I've never been good at the game but have always enjoyed playing, with practice though I should get better than I am atm, which is why I've just got one of those boards in the photo, along with that protective surround and a rubber mat. Should be receiving them in the next few days, then I'll set them up in my home so I can practice when I want.
  3. Although I opted for a JLC SS bracelet fitted to the JLC Master Ultra thin, I couldn't get used to the fit, it was either too loose or too tight after having a link removed, and was told there are no half links available for that bracelet. So I've used that Master as part exchange for a JLC Reverso Grande Ultra thin ( Manual wind ) shown in the photo. Should be receiving that Reverso either Friday or Saturday.
  4. Normally I would feel sorry for anyone having any kind of mishap with their audio gear, but there's been plenty of warnings about Cavalli, but not only has these warnings been ignored by some, they've also been ridiculed at that other site.
  5. On HF my username is David1961, but I came to prefer Dave R. I did try to change it to Dave R on that site but was unable to do so, however now it doesn't matter.
  6. On that other site, someone has been using rubber bands on their 009's headband, which apparently creates more clamping force, but in doing so has broken part of the headband. Now if I still signed in on that site ( which I haven't done since May ) I could send them a PM explaining the headband I did for my 009's shown in the photo, which feels slightly more tight ( but still extremely comfortable ) than the Stax original headband, but seeing how I'm not signing in on that site ever again, they'll either have to carry on with the rubber bands, or come up with a different idea. ?
  7. I have some hair on my arms, but not enough to be catching in the bracelet, or at least it hasn't yet. As I mentioned the watch with the bracelet is heavier than with the strap, but is just as comfortable.
  8. Had my JLC Master Ultra thin sent to be serviced in July, and while that was being done thought I'd have a JLC SS bracelet fitted. I was told it could take up to October before everything was done, but I'm pleased I received it today and it looks brand new, although the bracelet is. Now I was happy with the brown leather strap that was originally on my JLC, but much prefer the look of their bracelet, and it looks even better in real life. This SS bracelet does make the watch heavier, but it's still extremely comfortable. Anyway for comparison the first photo is of a master UT ( not mine ) with a brown strap, and others of my JLC with that bracelet.?
  9. Very nice.
  10. Some photos of what to me is one of the best looking watches, the JLC Jubilee 1833, and with a case thickness of 4.05mm must be one of the thinnest in the world.
  11. Would 007 ear pads work on 009's ?
  12. After giving it some thought, I've decided I'm getting that building completed, then get my brother that Reverso Ultra thin, and take the chance of that Tribute still being available. Now if I hadn't been so stupid getting that Esoteric K-01, in which I lost a lot of money selling it, I'd have had the money to buy both Reversos, have the building done, and still had some spare.
  13. Yeah that's probably a bad idea, the other thing I could do is hold back with the windows and door for that new building, which would allow me to get that Tribute in November/December this year. With me having that Master Ultra thin, I'm not desperate for that Tribute, but it's a watch I'd definitely like to have.
  14. I'll have to take the chance of that Tribute not being available at the latter part of 2018, although I could get one in May next year and let my brother used it, then get him that Reverso Ultra thin at the back end of 2018.
  15. The JLC Master Ultra thin I have was bought used, and was/is in perfect condition, however I like the thought of having something new which the Tribute 1931 will be. Getting a Tribute though will probably be at the latter part of next year because first a building on the gable end of my bungalow needs to be completed, and second my youngest brother lost his job sometime ago and can't get work anywhere, and he always wanted a Reverso Ultra thin, so I've decided I'm going to buy him a 2788520, which will be in May next year. I've been told the servicing of my Master Ultra thin is going to take around 3 months, and a JLC SS bracelet is going to be fitted, so when I have it I'll post some photos. While the price of that Tribute 1931 from thewatchsource.co.uk is £5175 or £5045.63, for shipping outside the EU the price is £4312.50. Here's a photo of that.
  16. Thank you for mentioning about the Tribute 1931 Reks, which before your mention I'd never seen photos of that watch, but have now. WOW ! that is a beautiful, classy looking watch, and with the black dial would be a perfect contrast to my masters silver dial. Couldn't resist it, but here are some photos of that beautiful looking watch. I've found a place in the UK that has brand new genuine JLC's including that Tribute 1931, and the price for that watch is £5175 using PayPal or Credit card, and £5045 bank transfer, which I'd be prepared to pay either. So when I've the spare money I'll give them a call, in fact because I could get to that place I'll offer them cash, then maybe get more of a discount. Also thank you for your suggestion of a strap by the person in Latvia, but I'd rather have a JLC strap for that watch.
  17. The cancellation of that JLC Master Ultra thin Automatic has been done, and the servicing of my JLC manual is back on. Now as I mentioned I'm now going to get a JLC Grande Reverso 2788520 Manual wind, so here are some photos of that watch which I think is very nice looking. I also like it with the black leather strap, so when I have that watch I won't be changing the strap for a JLC SS bracelet like I am with my Master.
  18. The Master Ultra thin manual wind does look quite thin, but I love it like that, which is why I've decided to try and cancel that automatic and keep the manual. Now if I'm successful with that cancellation, I'll carry on with having the service done of that manual, and also get a JLC SS bracelet fitted. I was told the service would take around 3 months to complete, so I'll easily have the spare money for that bracelet by then. The place sorting everything out isn't open Sunday's, so I'll contact them Monday morning to hopefully make the cancellation. I'm also now going to get a Grande Reverso Ultra thin manual wind.
  19. Sorry Torpedo, my mistake. I was very happy with that manual JLC, and enjoyed the winding which I did virtually everyday, it was/is also extremely comfortable, in fact so comfortable I could hardly feel it on. I just decided to go for an automatic of the same model, well I just fancied one, I also like the idea of putting it in an auto winder when not in use. I do think if/when you try on a JLC Master Ultra thin manual, you'll definitely fall in love with it, or at least I'd be surprised if you didn't.
  20. I too love thin watches, and don't really like thick ones, but this JLC Automatic isn't a lot thicker than the manual of that model. With that said, I've accepted the offer for the JLC I had, and have made the exchange payment, so won't be backing out.
  21. Yeah JLC do do very nice looking watches, and like I've mentioned I'm also going to get a JLC Reverso. It'll be a Grande Reverso Night Day Automatic shown in more photos below. Yes I know, I'm a dreamer, but this dream will become a reality, eventually.
  22. I've seen the manual wind case thickness at 6.31mm, and automatic 8.62mm.
  23. I've decided to cancel that service of my JLC Master Ultra thin ( manual wind ) Reks, ( assuming I'm not too late ) and instead it's being used as part exchange for the JLC Master Ultra thin shown in the photos, but is an automatic. Now that automatic JLC also has a brown leather strap, so I'll eventually get a JLC SS bracelet for that watch. Before a bracelet though, I'll be getting a double auto watch winder from the same place I'm getting that auto JLC.
  24. I'm reasonably happy with the quote given for servicing my watch, because according to JLC there are several new inside parts needed that'll be used, everything ultrasonic cleaned, then polished so it'll look pristine, I also think I'll get a JLC Reverso. However I'm now not going to bother getting a JLC SS bracelet because I've decided I'm going to exchange my manual wind master for an automatic master with a SS bracelet , and an automatic reverso also with SS bracelet, then get a double auto watch winder. Don't know how long it'll be before I have all mentioned, but they are what I'm getting.
  25. Received the quote from JLC with regards servicing my Master Ultra thin, along with a list of things they say needs doing, which is quite a long. So for everything done the cost is £598 plus 20% VAT which comes to £717.60, therefore because of JLC's recommendations I've decided to go for that full service. I also got a quote for a JLC SS bracelet for that model which was/is £1160, so I'll just have the service for now, although because I very much like the look of that bracelet, I may have one fitted when I've the spare money. With the expense of that bracelet though, will mean I won't bother getting a JLC reverso, or at least for quite sometime.
