Can't say I've ever watched a hockey game in my life but I remember Mr. Howe from his "cameo" on the Simpsons as Edna Crabbapple's paramour. Great episode. RIP.

My extremely simplistic summation of the reviews was that the Oculus may be the better choice for seated experiences (more comfortable) while the Vive is better for standing experiences due to the superior tracking, controllers, and external camera. I think those were Brent's general impressions as well. I'd be interested to hear what you think if you get to try both.

Wait till next week and Grahame and I can tell you what we think about the Oculus.

Cavs had to have that game to stay alive and they got it. Lets see how the Warriors respond in game 4. Hopefully they catch whomever has been spiking the MVP's gatorade. He hasn't looked like himself yet this series.

Three Body Problem This is great "hard" science fiction. I enjoyed it more than "The Martian." It is difficult to talk about the plot without ruining the fun, so I will refrain. Suffice it to say the the book feels inventive and modern, almost Asimov-ian. That is a VERY good thing. Is this the first time the Hugo award was ever won by someone other than a caucasian? Recommended without qualification. I will absolutely be picking up the 2nd and 3rd (when it is translated to English in September) books in the trilogy. Heck, I can't wait for the movie to come out. 4.5/5. ------ EDIT: By the way, if anyone else is reading on a Kindle and wants to "borrow" any of the books I've read I think there is a way to "lend" them out. Hit me up via PM.

Would YOU ever consider buying them?

You still think its better to wait for Gen 2 next year?

I figured the Cavs would struggle to defend GSW (and they have) but I didn't think the Warriors would be able to completely shut down the Cavs offense. Last year the Cavs destroyed when LeBron was defended by anyone other than Iggy. This year Klay, HB, and heck, even Curry have been doing a much better job on him. LeBron's jumper is totally broken right now so all he can do is barrel in to the paint and try and make a play at the rim. The Warriors have consistently shown they are ready to meet them there. This series already feels like its over, but lets see if they can munster something up for game 3. -- I will be appalled if either Kyrie or Kevin Love make the US Olympic team this summer. Both have been exposed in the finals.

It is pretty cool that your son likes the VR. His generation is going to grow up on it the way we did on Nintendos, XBoxes and Playstations.

RIP, Champ. Probably the most influential athlete of the 20th century. Parkinson's had taken him from us a long time ago.

Well, after game 1 Cleveland is going to have to defend a whole lot better as a team if they are going to have any chance in this series. Their effort was less than desirable, to say the least. I think K.Love and Kyrie might need to ride the bench if they don't perform better. Both were embarrassing. Game 2 feels like a must win for them if they are going to take the series. If they go down 0-2 I do not see them beating this Warriors team 4 times in 5 games.

Oh, yes. That is what I needed.

Uncharted 4 This is what AAA-gaming should be. The graphics and gameplay are fantastic, the story is great, and the game is a wonderful wrap up to one of the best series I've ever played. This game meets or exceeds the lofty expectations we all had for it in every sense. 5/5. If you enjoy story-driven action adventure games this is a must play. -- If I had to rank the games in the Uncharted series, this is what I'd have. 1) #2 - Best introductory level in the history of gaming? This is the game that really took the Uncharted story from ho-hum to something so easy to get invested in. The characters and character development is brilliant. 2) #3 - The set-piece moments here were as fun as anything I've ever played. That airplane sequence, that cruise boat sequence! 3) #4 - Being ranked 3rd is only because of how good #2 and #3 were. Just brilliant storytelling here. I didn't love the Henry Avery stuff as much as the main treasure quests in the other games, but again that is more a commentary on how good the other games were than a slight against #4. 4) #1 - It is technically dated and some sequences go on a bit too long. Still, the seeds are there, and there are some great moments like finding the U-Boat. The complete 180 degree gameplay switch at the end of the game was executed perfectly. -- Up next is the new Witcher 3 DLC and more Overwatch.

What a series. Kudos to OKC. They were a phenomenal opponent, and I have nothing but respect for them and the way they played. Both teams really left everything they had out there. In the end, it took heroic efforts from both splash-brothers to keep the Warriors alive. To have both Steph and Klay on the same team is insane. Klay's performance in the pivotal game 6 in OKC will go down as one of the most clutch in the history of the NBA playoffs. I had some friends who primarily watch college ball really get in to this series. While March Madness is all about huge momentum swings and signature moments, the NBA playoffs are a grind-out war. This series was the NBA playoffs at their best, in particular the epic battle that was game 6. I wouldn't have hung my head had we lost.
