  1. Yeah, that looks perfect. When hooked up where do I connect the ground?
  2. yes, hole size is 1.2mm based on the diagram here http://www.ebay.com/itm/260964413265?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  3. Thanks Kevin, that would be cool. screw terminals on the output would be nice. I'd do a small board run for that.
  4. that's what I was going to do at first. I'll get the pot first and see if I have anything that fits
  5. I'm thinking about using the 4 gang ALPS pot for my dynahi. I want to mount it on a pcb but I don't see any available so I thought if I took two epsilon 27 boards I could make one. The first board would fit the front, the second board looks like it would need the front trimmed off to fit the back section. The grounds are tied together on those boards so I'm not sure how that comes into play since I've never wired a pot for balanced audio before. How do you wire a volume pot for balanced audio and do you think this would work?
  6. cool thanks
  7. I'm looking to give my headphone cables a more professional look like this http://redsecta.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/650cable.jpg I want to find splitters like this guy used
  8. That's what I thought. Thanks
  9. So I don't make mistakes in my latest build I was wondering what is reccomended most. Should I twist the AC power leads on a torroid being used in a DAC? Should I twist the DC power hookup wire that will go from the PSU to the DAC board? I'm assuming I should always twist the signal wires...
  10. Hmmm.... sounds like I'll continue with my original plan of using a goldpoint
  11. Now yer talkin
  12. Thanks, good to know. They're on sale at pcx and I thought I might give one a try but i don't really feel like resoldering all those joints
  13. Has anyone used a Khozmo Attenuator? They look extremely well built. I wonder how it sounds compared to a goldpoint or a dact
  14. Anyone have have one of these made at your local Mc D's?
  15. Leif Garrett... how the hell did this thread drum that image up. He'd sell the headphones for some blow
  16. I do get the sense this is how he feels sometimes. I try to ignore things like this as long as I get what I'm after
  17. Well, I could add 200 and get RS2is I don't have any way of hearing them before I buy em but I like my 225is so reading reviews is all I got for now I did take eat quite a bit when selling my headphiled K340 but I sent them to him to improve the sound and he did do that. They just weren't for me.
  18. based on some other reviews I found they seem to improve the sound and comfort. In my case it may be worth it because I will pay nothing for the sr325is (cashed in CC rewards points)
  19. He is certainly a bit rough in his way of business with others that I have read. But I can say that he has never given me any problems. I own one pair of Darth Beyers and have owned K340's done by him. I was always satified with the work and the sound siganture was exactly what I was looking for. Really I was just looking to have the comfort of the Beyers with the sound of Grados
  20. I am thinking about sending a NIB pair of Grado 325is to Headphile and have them made into Vixens. Do any of you have a pair? If so, how do you like them compared to the unmodded unwoodied Grados?
  21. oh, yeah I see it now. So the difference it the output transitors and onboard heatsinks?
  22. PM lil knight he may still have a set
  23. par-metal looks like they're taking orders once again. The website changed a few days ago. It says a 7-10 week lead time. I wonder if they're sourcing it out until they're back up all the way
  24. I'll be using a 10K balanced volume control. Balanced gain will be 10 by changing R52, R56 to 50K and C1, C3 to 5 pf.
