That's what my gut tells me. I figure I'll start with the cheap stuff, then pick up an audioquest forrest cable for like $30. If I hear a difference great, if not I'll sell it on ebay.
Has anyone tried just a high end USB cable Vs a cheap one? I'm going to add an amanero to my buffalo III dac and I'll use their isolator/Chronos/Rhea combo to clean up and re-clock the Amenero. To keep the back panel looking nice I was going to use a USB pass through from Neutrik. So I'd need 2 cables. One from the PC to the dac at 6' and one from the back panel to the Amenero at 6" Should I be looking at buying something better than this? https://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=5437&gclid=CImX_aDH1NMCFdSNswodvecKMg
I did get in touch with HRT's US distributor. Elite AV at 323-466-9694 I talked to a nice guy named Scott. They will sell a new unit sealed with one year warranty for $350. He says that HRT is still in business but they had a setback when their lead guy was involved in a motorcycle crash. My guess is the only support I would see is if I bought a new one for $350
I'd at least touch it... lol It's got 20 tubes that's cool. If it sounded bad for $13K I'd write it off as a home improvement. 20 tubes should count as adding a second heating zone lol...
Yeah, forgot that I'm only 20 miles away from New York City lol Of course it takes 2 hours plus to do those 20 miles $25 in tolls and $40 to park. But it's cool none the less
All the packages have been mailed. There's three that I'm missing the stage 2 total from so you have a pm from me if that's the case.
You're all welcome and I hope you have enough to keep you busy for a few months
