  1. true, I guess I was trying to un clutter my rack. I'm not opposed to a full size drive, what's the best out there these days?
  2. Internal, sorry forgot that part This is the case http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=446&area=en Here's the dimensions of one that fits 128 x 129 x 12.7 mm ( W x D x H ) 5.04" x 5.08" x 0.5" ( W x D x H )
  3. I need to purchase a slim SATA ODD for a slim HTPC case. I'll need DVD, CD, and Blu-Ray read support (best accuracy is what I'm looking for). Write support is not as important but CDR, DVDR would be needed at least. I'm really looking for the best slim ODD to finish ripping my CD, DVD, Blu-Ray collection to storage.
  4. I’ll check tonight to see if I have a set of the latest ones. If I do I’ll send them to you if you want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I count 7 5K resistors... I have them all, did you mean problematic to find?
  6. I was going to ask someone to circle them, as I'm not sure where those caps and resistors are either
  7. See this post by me. That info came via PM from KG I have those boards and will populate them in the next month or so
  8. bah... It was delicious. Forgot to take pics, but the skin came out crunchy. The pope's nose was the best
  9. I dry brined and organic turkey breast, getting ready to wash and pat dry. I'll rub it with olive oil and re-season the skin a bit. I'll roast it at 425 F for 25-30 minutes for crispy skin then turn it down to 325 F and cook it until it reaches 165 F Do you all think that's a good plan?
  10. I need exactly what's in that pic
  11. cool... I'd be using them for the latest dynahi and dynalo boards. That'd work right? I'd be willing to buy a lockyz curve tracer for the matching as long as someone made sure I was using it right and then double checked my findings. Or I could loan it out for the job
  12. Like, could I get a few pairs from ya? Those are what went into the original Dynahi back from headwize right? I'd be willing to do the group buy for these plus anything else needed if there isn't already one
  13. The best solution I've found is to wrap the transformer in a strip of grain oriented steel. I was able to get mine from Avel Lindberg where I bought the transformer. Beyond that it seems hard to source by itself. This place has it https://www.don-audio.com/radiation-shielding-magnetic-shielding-tafo-hum-trafo-shielding-electro-magnetic-sheets-grain-oriented-electric-sheets-electro-magnetic-foil-shielding-foil-shielding-sheets
  14. This thread made me chuckle... Let us not forget the $75 audiophile grade receptacle cover https://www.amazon.com/Furutech-104-D-Carbon-Hi-Performance-Duplex/dp/B00P25D12W/ref=pd_bxgy_23_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=H26RM3V25ZJS0RWBBQXE
  15. 1. It works fine when powering it with a portable battery pack. 2. The pack stays on while the device is in use. The cable has only +5V and GND connected to the external in on the eval board. 3. It does sound better to my ears. There's more impact, highs are not as harsh. Defrinitely worth taking another step so I'm going to make a data only cable with some mil-spec shieled 3 conductor wore from navships and USB connectors from mouser
  16. I'm about to find out if it makes a difference. Klaus the cat chewed through a lightning cable the other day so I'll use the USB A end to test out the portable battery pack.
  17. lol!!! I love it. In hind sight it was a bit odd that there was dim lighting and wood paneling on the walls
  18. Indeed... It's not as bad as it seems. To each his own, but for me I reached a point where I couldn't take it anymore. The real story is that it made me a bit more aware of what I'm eating and made me at least add fiber and fresh vegetables to my everyday diet. Or every other day lol!
  19. Yeah, I'd have to crack it open to see what's regulating the power. It's kinda like the older ipods where there's a face plate that's only held on the front with adhesive. I'm afraid if I peel it off it'll bend and look shitty when I put it back together.
  20. I know Steve's gonna have field day with this but... I once had the same issue. Found a wellness clinic that did colonics. I got one, albeit humiliating. It worked like a charm. It got whatever was eating my gut. Haven't had a problem since and I'd say that was 10 years ago
  21. Yeah, I'm going to make a data only cable with some mil-spec shielded wire and see what happens
  22. I picked up one of these off ebay to isolate the dragonfly http://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/EVAL-ADUM4160.html#eb-overview It's really neat, solved the noise I was hearing with my tube gear. It allows you to use bus power, isolate the bus power and provide your own while also providing the downstream power. Or, you can provide separate supplies for both up and down. I'm using bus power right now, but will experiment with a separate supply. I was thinking of using the power output from one of those portable battery packs. Does anyone know if the power from those are noisy? In theory it would be cool to have a battery supply but I have no idea how the voltage is regulated and it could be just as noisy as the bus power.
  23. That isolation eval board is pretty cool. It cured the noise I was hearing when using the dragonfly with my tube gear. I'll eventually be making some cables to see if there's any difference. Does anyone have a good source for A and B connectors and hoods? I found these at mouser, but they don't have hoods https://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=KUSBX-BP-KIT-SCvirtualkey51700000virtualkey806-KUSBX-BP-KITSC https://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=KUSBX-AP-KIT-SCvirtualkey51700000virtualkey806-KUSBX-AP-KITSC
  24. She voiced my favorite doll https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Living_Doll_(The_Twilight_Zone) Killed Telly Savalas but good The mom in that episode was hot... definite MILF material
  25. I picked up one of these for $23 on ebay http://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/EVAL-ADUM4160.html#eb-overview
