I'm going to connect a transformer to the mains to see what voltage it puts out. My mains are a little high so it might be 10V or a little over for the lt1021 reference, do I need the 5 or 7V ?
-
Is a 9+9 30 VA transformer enough to pull 9V DC from a GRLV?
-
does anyone have a GRLV + board to spare?
-
That's what I was thinking
-
So should we match P to P and N to N? Or that plus P to N?
-
good question, it may say on the silkscreen. I'll look at the board Nope, I was hoping. We'd have to ask kevin
-
I'm going to order the transistors for this and the buffers. 1. I know that I have to match for hfe and Vbe but do I match all the N together and the P together or do I match N to P? 2. The highest hfe is the BC546\556 C, this only comes with formed leads. Will I need to straighten them out, and if so I'm guessing there's no issue with that?
-
excellent, I was on the fence about it but will get it now
-
How do you like that tester, was thinking of getting that to measure the transistors for the unbalanced/balanced board?
-
That was cool... if I'm reading that right, it's not matched N to P
-
After thinking about it for a few hours I remember doing exactly that when building the original 2 channel dynalo and dynahi. I only matched singles of P or N when using them and did not match P to N. I remember socketing the LED's and switching until I got close enough for the servo to swallow up what offset was showing up. What's the limit of the servo in the current designs of the dynalo and Dynahi?
-
So I took stock of what I had and I have a pair of 2sa1349. Now, my question is do I have to match the 2sa1349 to the 2sc3381? Or if I chose to source the K489\J689 as well do I have to match them with each other? I'd be using them in the newest Dynahi and Dynalo circuits.

It looks like DVD audio extracter will, but I did not have it installed. I was using DVD Audio Explorer. That program will not unfortunately -
it's working so far
-
Not sure my PM's are working, can someone send me one?
-
It's possible someone may have some GRLV boards left to spare. If you can't find a pair I was thinking of starting another group buy for them
-
yeah, could've very well been my subconscious. I'll take it either way

What's the range of the servo? I'm looking to build the new BIII pro and the new output stage uses servos to control the offset. When measured the balanced output is showing 0.5 mv, the se output is showing around 1mv. I know the gain will happily multiply that so that plus adding in what may show up from just building the amp I'm wondering if it's too much for the servo to handle

+1 on that. Lost my father in law back in July. Still can't really talk about it. I couldn't see him in the last days. However, he came to me in a dream a few days ago. He was checking out the new fish in the reef tank like he always did, I thought someone broke in, I went to approach and realized it was him. He said its ok, it's ok son, then he was gone. I felt very calm when I woke up in the morning like a weight was lifted. I'm guessing that was him saying goodbye

I seem to remember something like it could. I do also remember something about ripping the audio from DVDs in another program as well. If I have time tonight I'll poke around on the machine to see what work. IFO edit comes to mind or at the very least tells you what the audio tracks are like 2ch stereo with whatever processing like dolby etc. -

I use makemkv for DVD's so far. Haven't ripped Blurays yet. For DVD-A I've been using DVD Audio extractor I think. For CD's Foobar200 lately, previously EAC -

That seems to be what's widely available. I was hoping for an internal sweet spot so I could ditch the external part. I forgot that internal slim drives are not very reliable. I haven't relied on disk based media in the workplace for years this was the most accurate as of 2016 Lite-On DVD Burner Black SATA Model iHAS124-14
