  1. Damn thats purdy. How do I get myself one of those...
  2. Kevin, so will the digital attenuator be built into the kgitsojc board, or will it be separate and wired to the preamp? I originally thought it was going to be the later.
  3. Anyone else get their shipping notifications from OnlineComponents for their RK50? I got mine last night, and I still can't believe I bought a $600 pot. My credit card has been screaming for mercy lately... =)
  4. Hey Lil'Knight out of curiosity, are the boards already in production or are you waiting to sort out these paypal issues first?
  5. If you have a couple boards left over, I'd be happy take them off your hands Kerry. Just let me know. Thanks for all the hard work Kerry.
  6. That is a big stack of boards. I'm already thinking I should have bought an extra pair... =)
  7. Cross you fingers. Good luck!
  8. I love it when Paypal pulls this crap. You'd think they just be happy to get the 3% from each of our transactions... Best of luck getting it sorted out sir, and thanks again for all the hard work.
  9. I think Mouser may stock these parts. Are these the same ones?
  10. Very cool sir! If the "new" T2 is residing in your main rack, where do you keep your "old" one?
  11. Hey Andy, Do you think the 12mm PEEK bolts would be cutting it too close on length? For some reason they are $23 less then the 15mm long bolts.
  12. Great work Andy. You are making me very jealous with your 2 x T2DIY's. There are many out there who would sell their soul for just one! So is this the first up and running T2DIY with Lil Knight's updated boards?
  13. Hey Lil Knight, Could I add (1) extra KGSSHV PSU board to my order? Thanks sir!
  14. Nice work sir! Best of luck to you during the first power up...
  15. We definitely should, as this board run is a great service to us DIY'ers. Thanks Lil Knight!
  16. I'm starting to feel sorry for Lil Knight. This board run has become huge, and mailing out this many boards is going to become quite a bit of work...
  17. Just to make it crystal clear, the quantities are for number of board "sets" and not individual boards correct? So if you want to make a KGSSHV amp, you would need to mark yourself down for just (1) KGSSHV. It seems like some people may have accidentally marked themselves down for number of boards needed, and not board sets.
  18. Sounds like a perfect build for me!
  19. Great work Kerry! Spritzer, if I was that close to finishing, I think I'd just pull an all nighter if necessary. I can't wait to hear what both you guys think of the amp.
  20. I'd try testing a few of them, and see how their values compare to the datasheet.
  21. Who's Kevin? Doug, you mind me asking where you picked up the RK50 from?
  22. I'd do your homework on those R10's. He flipping them for $500 less after owning them for only 2 months...
  23. I had the chance to listen to Doc B's K1000's run off his mono-block Paramount amps at a meet a few months back. It was a seriously great sounding combination in my opinion (part of which may have been due to his fancy reel-to-reel setup). It was that setup that led to my impulsive purchase of a pair of K1000's. That and n3rdling's O2/Blue Hawaii setup where the highlights from that meet.
  24. Hey Crumpler,

I had a channel imbalance on my SR-507's after just a couple of days of use. Did you ever find a solution to the imbalance or your 507's, or did you have to send them back? I'm a little worried about the RMA process as I purchased mine through a Japan source.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  25. That's a pretty wild impedance graph. You find yourself a pair of quad 57's? With the little I know about the Firstwatt line, I would guess a F5X (balanced F5) or a Aleph J-X would be the way to go. With that nice spike around 80-100hz, I'd be afraid of the FW amps running out of voltage to swing though. I guess you could get some monster sinks, cascode the amps and run them at a higher voltage... How sensitive are the quads?
