I've actually opened my 5gen ipod so I have those tools already. I've been reading online and it seems that the 6th gen (classic) ipod is much harder to open then all the others. Apple made locking tabs so the backplate and the face plate is much harder to separate. oh well

My old ipod is 100% dead now Gotta get a 1.8 hd case and take all the music off it Also, I got my brothers "old" ipod classic. The click wheel is kinda screwed up. Does any one have any experience opening up an ipod classic? Looking at repair videos, it seems pretty difficult

Heh, I can already get matlab and I already have a mac student disk for mathematica.

So it seems that I can at least get some free apps installed since we're buying it from the same store/guy who we've bought the last 4 macs from, anyone have any recommendations on any apps that I should get? (I'm already getting the Adobe package)
