  1. Thanks Ian. That was the first thing I tried and it seemed to work for most other people except me But I updated the bios last night and people on the thinkpad forum said that might help so I'll see if it happens again
  2. happy birthday guys!!!
  3. thanks! i'll post it over there
  4. Well its internal, so its a PITA to check it out. I dont think its a loose connection tho
  5. Well this computer is only a couple of months old. I hope the wireless card isint dying And I had thinkvantage wireless manager off for about 2 weeks now, and it made no difference :'(
  6. So I've been having problems with my wireless for a month now. The wireless card decides to turn itself off at random times, usually once every two days or so, and when I try to turn it back on, it does nothing. So I try the thinkvantage wireless thing and it says its still on when its obviously off. I tried uninstalling the Thinkvantage wireless manager, fooled around with the power settings of the wireless card and logging in and out, but the only thing that works is restarting the computer. Any recommendations thats not reformatting the comp, buy a mac or get linux?
  7. I'm most likely going to grad school or med school after graduation. I just have to figure out which. I really want to do something with medicine/health but I'm not sure what
  8. alright so back to the topic somewhat I'm doing research with one of my professors with making a program to decode mammogram data to make a better diagnosis for breast cancer. I really enjoy doing it and it seems like something I would like to do later on in my life but the only thing that turns me off from that is that its hard to get a job doing that (or so I hear) And I've been talking to my adviser again (who's a pediatrician) and she's really pushing medical school. From what she says, it seems I would like it a lot.
  9. changing DDS to STDs doesnt even make sense as a joke so its a fail in my book
  10. its so people can use their magic rubber band mods across the two knobs. I've tried those ones you get with asparagus but it made the sound too stringy and hard. So instead of using 1 large rubber band, I used a bunch of thinner ones made of Jena wire to get a more euphoric sound. Rubber bands FTW
  11. theyre all butterfaces
  12. Not Funny,
  13. heh, i'm not like that at all.
  14. The thing is that I'm pretty sure I'll be going into a medical field even if I decide to stay with bioengineering, but if I decide to stay with engineering, theres much less human contact and if I stay with med school, its much more work, even though its more rewarding. and my roommate is a pre-dental senior, so he's always at the student doctor forums. I've looked at the site a couple of times before, its pretty informative for premeds. I've talked to my advisor, who's a MD and electrical and bioengineer, and she basically told me the same thing you guys told me. Just make sure you want to be a doctor before you jump into med school.
  15. rigatoni pasta with red wine pasta sauce
  16. What do you feel is the difference between those two phones? Is it the fact that the HP-1000 is in an all metal enclosure? Bigger cups?
  17. Hmm, well my bio GPA isint that good but my physics GPA is pretty damn high so it kinda evens out
  18. Wow, this kid is much more annoying then Nenso. At least he was nice
  19. Where did I see that before?
  20. damn, are those metal cups? Getting pretty damn close to the hp-1000 dude!
  21. This is basically my problem. I have no idea if I want to do this for a living. I'm just wishy washy about this type of stuff
  22. Yea, I've been looking into the requirements for the semi-competitive schools and I make the cut (barely). I've been looking into the Kaplan courses as well. I'm taking the free practice test in a couple of weeks so I'll see how that works out. or I'll be a t-shirt printer and look down on doctors
