you have to be kidding me... this album and the last one are a fucking joke compared to Scenes From A Memory, A Change Of Seasons and Train Of Thought. those three albums were actually really fucking good, the others were "ok", and these last two were utter crap imo.

billy corgan and jimmy chamberlin. nobody else from the original band. edit: i really really don't like the vocals on this song so far.

i am interested but the link is broken.

hey, i was born at cornell. that is why it's so awesome.

Some advice about tubes/tube modes...

i will more than likely end up with the tried and true ls3/5a design as my small bookshelf speaker eventually. have you heard any other ls3/5as? how does that one stand up too the more popular models? -
Everybody is getting new sources (new DAC)

i think we both read eachother wrong. i'll just search head-fi, i am sure the local overzealous objectivists have the links i am looking for, and not derail the topic anymore -
if you've got a gripe, post it. personally i am not going to be overly verbose in that topic, since i will probably get banned if i am, because i'm on thin thin ice there.

no, it doesn't include the ipod. i bet it includes the required cable though. hopefully there will be a less pricey way to get the cable, no way in hell i am going to pay almost $200 for a few inches of cable. maybe $200 for a meter, but for fucks sake, a few inches? and i'm not just senselessly bashing. i owned the jumbo cryo. ;D ;D

arguing is presenting reasons for or against an idea. you were defending it. i was not naysaying, just asking a question; i don't disagree with the "if it sounds better i will take it, fuck numbers" philosophy but not in the context i was talking about. i was talking about a very specific specification of a complex piece of machinery, and you're referring to the overall sound. comparing different dacs and coming to the conclusion that dac a is better than dac b because it has lower jitter is somewhat illogical. if you came to your conclusion differently (creating more jitter somehow?) then nevermind. -

isn't that argument sort of pointless if you're comparing different dacs? adds in a whole lot more variables as far as sound goes. -

anyone have links to anything that proves jitter as diminutive as a few hundred picoseconds can really effect sound at all? i can understand nanoseconds but picoseconds are like really really small. imagine this except smaller. any ramblings are appreciated, although peer reviewed stuff is appreciated more. edit: for any blind people, that was a single pixel. -
28 months later has been announced.
-
i wish the naming of the movies wasn't so corny. 28 days later was fine. 28 weeks later ok. 28 months later? stop it. if there is a 28 years later i will be mad.
-
actually postjack, you reminded me of something: my morning jacket is playing at a local record store soon. i can go for free and get really close to the band.
-
white stripes. definitely not horrible but mmj is just in another league
-
1. you must have been living under a rock the last decade 2. mentioning the white stripes in the same sentence as my morning jacket is a sin
