The Knuckledragger 3rd Memorial Slow Forum Post

I think we should make that the background music for our office reception area instead of the crappy CNN feed. -
Happy Birthday!

Took Mary and Lance to LAX this morning at 3:45. Though getting up at 2 in the morning is tough it is well worth it to be able to drive the freeways with no traffic. The 45 minute commute this morning can take as much as two hours if you are unlucky enough to be going to LAX in the late morning or afternoon. Fingers crossed for a good experience in Charlotte this weekend.

For clarification /\ /\ /\ , the hillside in the foreground and the hillside to the right not pictured had flames peaking over the top back in October 2018. White stuff is always more welcome than the red stuff.

Please refer to October 2019 and October 2018.

If you do pass from food poisoning, can I have your Molly Dooker wines?

A rare sight for southern California and an even rarer sigh from my back yard. I feel like I have been transported to Denver or something.

Depending on the taste you may try using the beef in a Thai or Cambodian style stew with rice noodles, cilantro, and ginger.

Last night with guests from Italy and the Czech Republic. I wanted to introduce them to a Southern California Christmas minus the guacamole. Batch of medium prime ribs, batch of rare prime ribs. Twenty four hour brined turkey.

Maybe marinate the Spam in Vodka?

...not that it matters but seven Russians are coming as well. Oh, and somehow we were volunteered to host Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years eve dinners. I just picked up a bunch of wine from my locker and now it seems that a case of wine will not be enough. Also I am a bit worried that we don't have enough oven space to cook all the food. There better not be any wind so I can use the BBQ to help out with the roasting. Perhaps now would be a good time to introduce the Russians, Italians, French and Czech people to Spam. Shits about to get real real. ?

From my Soviet friend- For men, what is the difference between a golf ball and a G spot. Men will keep looking for the golf ball.

Thursday Olympic fencers from Italy, France, Czech Republic, and possibly Mexico along with two olympic coaches will begin arriving for a week and a half training camp here at our club. Lance will be fortunate enough to be able to fence with some of them to get himself ready for some upcoming national tournaments. We will be hosting the Christmas eve dinner which may end up being pretty huge. Shits about to get real.

Got Kind of Shafted at a Liquidator...But Not Really!
Augsburger replied to Xirtam's topic in Miscellaneous
The "box" was a Chick fil a box and there were no papers. Again, I say odd but a great find, certainly beats Ebay. The blood easily washes off so no biggie there. I probably would have had to pay full retail otherwise. -

While walking around Hollywood last week I had some guy selling watches out of his van offer me a Rolex GMT Master at a huge discount due to some dirt and blood on the bracelet. Great deal for me but a bit odd. Proof that the bricks and mortar retail model is dying. -
That middle finger bandage is ripe for a smiley face drawing.

Wow very dejavuish. The speakers look very similar to my DCM Time Windows and the receiver looks very similar to my Pioneer 1010. Both of which I keep in my home office just for memories of the good old days.
