  1. Kind of resembles the fire sprinkler pipe in my office.
  2. Please don't do this. As much as agree with your desire form an escape to sonic bliss, no one who comes to visit you will understand what you are doing. Try to envision this scenario, your daughter has a friend over for a play date. That friend goes home and that night tells her mommy and daddy over dinner " so and so's Daddy has a small room in the corner where he sits there by himself for hours. There is nothing in the room but a small chair and the room has one window." I am sure the investigating officers will be audiophiles and love to listen to your Senns and the rest of your system but in case they aren't you will have some 'splainin to do.
  3. DC. sorry for the momentary thread jack, is your MD aware that you are taking Allegra, Astelin and Sudafed at the same time? And they are OK with that?
  4. I guess you are really whacky if you use your $18,000 pen to take notes on $2,000 stationery while listening to an MFSL cd played through a Reimyo on an Orpheus.
  5. I use hot glue from a hobby store. It is super strong, dries fast and unlike superglue allows you a do over if you mess up. Just hit it with a soldering iron and its liquid again. I use it to hold speaker posts in place when bolting wont fit. I also use it with Eichman ICs and thin strands of silver wire. The hotglue on the tail end of the plug serves as stress relief and protects the solder joint when you switch back the ICs between equipment.
  6. Undoing hotglue is not that difficult per se, just hit it with a fine tipped soldering iron. For added safety it would use an alligator clip with a piece of aluminum foil to serve as a heat sink to protect the driver. I used this technique to undo a couple of headphone adaptor projects I did.
  7. MAM golds are supposed to last 100+ years, so your grandkids can listen to grandpa's funky tunes in 2075. Assuming vintage cdps are still around to play them.
  8. Agreed. You got to hand it to the guy he is a good marketer of his brand. Whether you like his methods or not, he gets himself noticed and indirectly endorsed. Ken even got himself on the Steve Hoffman website as a cable supplier. As far as mixing engineers go, Hoffman has a pretty big repution.
  9. Kind of like the cryo does or dosen't make a difference argument?
  10. Was it the same guy who modded your Denon 3910?
  11. With my "good system" a seven or eight year old Pinot, Adrian Fog, William Selyem or Sea Smoke. With my cheap system Cordon Bleau Cognac. Who needs a Rega Saturn or a EC Hyper Dac when you have your second Cognac, all the music sounds real good.
