Indeed!

That sucks! I hope it is just an internal connection that loosened as the UPS/USPS driver drop kicked it up to your location. My fingers are crossed Nate.

Sorry to hear this Nate, charge amp customer double for putting your DNA signature on the amp. Get well soon.

Supertramp Crime of the Century, Stevie Ray Vaughn, In Step,Live Alive, Texas Flood Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon, 30th Anniversary Edition The Alan Parsons Project, Tales of Mystery and Imagination Edgar Allan Poe I will compare these to the 180g versions I just ordered from Acoustic Sounds. All vinyl and the Pink Floyd is sealed never played. Damn Klaus and his RMAF Odessey room.

My appointments for the 28th of October because it will take at least that long to finalize my artwork idea.

When I saw Paul McGowan in the summer he said late Novemberish so end of the year is reasonable. The slick part about this that appealed to me is that Paul said the PW with bridge would handle just about every format from HDCD, FLAC, WAVE,DVD-A, AIFF(?) and eventually Blue Wave Audio. Bought a mixed case of Central Coast, Santa Barbara County, Paso Robles Pinots. Haven't been too impressed by the offerings in the past but these wineries were highly recommended, and I can't resist a deal.

For me it is or will be- out and about, traveling/flying the JH13s and my LaRocco PRII, - Home watching the sunset or chilling in the evening, my speaker rig, -Late evening in bed or when the chief demands household silence, headphone rig. I still use my headphone rig regularly and don't foresee that ever changing. I will probably buy the Audeze LD2 instead of the HD800's, but that is a decision to be made next year. I am not really concerned about Jerry coming up with something better than the Pro13s because I am pretty sure this will be it for me on the IEM journey. The Pro13s are great now and as Duggeh says anything new won't make these suck.

JH Audio booth babe? Er doc?
-
True, on that note I spoke to a few amp manufacturers there who said they were very interested in are audio segment and were either considering or already had a headphone amp product in the works.

And indeed they (our CanJam rigs) did in my opinion. Many thanks to Steve (ASR) who brought up the Boulder Co contingent and hosted the yummy Steubens comfort fest Friday evening. ASR is quite the host and partier. I had a brief opportunity to give a solid ten minute audition to the Woo Electrostat and ASR's OII MKI Blue Hawaii. Stat phone differences aside, I thought the Blue Hawaii was pretty special, it seemed to do everything right presented great dynamics to one of the meet cds I brought along. I have heard the Cary CDP Steve was using at the show for his source at a couple of the local Audio Society meets and though the Cary is not bad probably did not show the BH's full potential. Nonetheless the Blue Hawaii sounded pretty sweet just as it was.

Dude, you and your lovely wife know how to dine and party. Thanks for the hospitality!

First of all I would like to thank Sherwood and Anne Marie (Sher's spousette) for being such wonderful dining hosts. Steubens and Ted's were a great way to experience comfort food and Buffalo burgers done Denver style. Dinny, as for game changers that would be hard to say. Everyone already knows about the JH13s. All I can add is yes they are good and yes we need someone to build a dedicated amp for them. I would vote for the Audeze LD-2s as a game changer from the standpoint of lowering the price/performance threshold. The finish has been greatly improved with those new glove soft pads and wood cups, but the headband needs some more tweaking which is already being addressed. Everything I liked about the LD-1s and that has been posted here and "there", has been improved and refined in the LD-2. GR9 and Matt MacBeth have what I would call a potential game changer for the portable iPod crowd. JPnumbs spent some time with them and really liked them. I heard them briefly at CanJam but got aced out at RMAF. They supposedly were refined even more between CanJam and RMAF. Basically a dac that takes the iPod line out and feeds it to your portable amp. Couple this with the JH13s and my iPod rig would step up quite a bit. There were a number of game changing speaker based audio on the cheap candidates there which is nice to see. Not every system needs to be $50K plus to sound good. In fact there were a few expensive speakers like the YG Acoustics and the Focals which were yawners for me. I took a minute which turned into a half hour to stop by Odyssey and visit with Klaus. He is a really cool guy and very hospitable. He basically told me to sit my butt down and he was going to spin some some fun vinyl, not the audiophile shit. So as soon as I can I will be looking for some Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughn and some other cool stuff. His monoblocks were gorgeous and seemed to handle all details of the music with ease. No idea what they cost because I need to limit my obsessions for a while. It was a really great time and the only thing missing was some good scotch and most of you.

BTW, my obtuse comment regarding Sherwood's JH13 artwork was in reference to the dinner conversation we had at Steubens and dining choices of his Turkish students.

As you probably know by now I am officially in and I even told a wine drinking buddy of mine that I will stop sharing the Good stuff with him if he doesn't come along for the ride. So over the next two weeks we are driving out to BH for molds. Meanwhile I need to kick things in gear and find the MOP pieces I found on line somewhere to serve as the inlays. I can't seem to remember the folder I stored the link in though. The Pro 13s are really magical and as Sherwood stated, realism and accuracy are their strongest points. Out of the balanced Electrocompient CDP and balanced Apache was a highlight for the morning for me.

They are in my head and I can't get them out.

I hope to be there between 1-2 pm Friday. Because of time/flight constraints and carry on restrictions, I will be traveling gear and liquid refreshmentless.

Aren't the Beaujolais Nouveau out now? I think it is that time of year, hit a wine bar in Philly.
