  8. xacly! Don't forget Syrahs and Shiraz, summer Syrah weather is just around the corner.
  9. I am really lacking in the Spanish wine category. The only two I have had in recent memory are the Clio and the Paco and Lola both were excellent and and very different.
  10. Brancaia Tre-- cause they were out of the blue-- Rosso Toscana. After about an hour or two of breathing this is some pretty decent stuff and very reasonably priced. Shelly and Jacob you shoould check this out, a nice complementary blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, mellowed out in oak. Would go well with you grilled steaks and Shelly's pizza.

  15. Yeah, that is why I am keeping my Henckels and my Shun. Different knife for specific task, makes a whole lot of sense. Thanks.
  16. Marco designs, he specializes Shigefusa knives, not that the tang and handle portions are that much different than other Japanese knives. But gotta keep it within the Shigefusa family I always say. www.japaneseknifeaccessories.com/knives.cfm
  17. Sorry Jacob, I am sure those visits take all the patience you can gather. Isn't the blade on the Akifusa convex? Either way taking the sides down even just a degree and doing it smoothly and retaining the polish takes a tremendous amount of concentration. Impressive coordination and concentration you must have. So how does the Akifusa stack up to the Hattori? Are they close? Very close?
  18. Thanks, and this summer I will get it rehandled to hopefully look like this-
  19. 1) .50 micron diamond slurry in a bottle 2) chromium oxide paste 3) leather strop and holder oh, and thanks to Reks one of these- 240 mm damascus gyuto. by Shigefusa.
  20. I think this is double posting problem is related to the recent solar eclipse. My Mayan Ouija board told me so. Shelly, have you tried laying on the floor face down and simultaneously raising your legs and upper body? That exercise with situps has helped my back a lot and helped me get back on the bike for long mile rides without the back ache.
  21. This evening I joined team Samsung Plasma with a 50 inch 3-d ready teli to makemy Oppo 93 work. I just left the 1990s behind, now what do I do with all those vhs movies?
