  1. .....well now that you ask, the last of the bottle of the La Jota Merlot and now on to Valdez Lancel Creek Pinot.
  2. Good deal Ric. Better smashed candy than year old boogers.
  3. redundant double entendre..... I don't need to be a history major, I lived it.
  4. La Jota Howell Mountain Merlot the 2007 not the 2005 as pictured. Toasting Chuck's memory.
  5. I am toasting Gary as I type. My condolences Ken.
  6. Well cheap can be good tasting though Malbec's tend to be a litle fruity for my palate just like a lot of Zinfandels. Liking what you drink is always a good thing anyway. I am always on the look out for a reasonably priced grape juice based drink.
  7. I just picked up some Juslyn. Mikey, are you associated with Ma(i)sonry too? There seems to be a lot of Malbec love going on here with Shelly, Reks, Dan and all. Must investigate further. Already bought but the UPS guy just delivered 3 cases of Kistler. Woohoo! Guzziguy, you missed it by just this _ much.
  8. Just curious, you won't tell who the seller is yet you ask Justin to give you all the history he knows about the amp. I am confused why the secrecy? Usually if people want something like information or help they generally offer something in return. You on the other hand seem to be here doing nothing but asking for members time and expertise.
  9. Nice drinks guys! For me it will be this-- tonight it is the 2007 though.
  10. ......and that is specifically why I hire the best attorneys to defend me in all of my attempted murder trials. Keeps me on the streets out of court and available for meets.
  11. Can members of the jury use terms like doucebag, f*cktard and jagbag when deliberating? Just wondering. Waiting for Zippy and Guzzi to show up for lunch.
  12. .....and their jobs. good luck, make more money buy more stuff. Words to live by.
  13. Moar wine. Nice watch!
  14. 2007 Blackbird Merlot- another Yountville discovery. This is a really good Merlot which has restored my faith in California Merlots. Very much like a good St. Emillion ora Pomerol but at one third the price.
  15. You are a good man Dan.
  16. Yes it is nice to have "guardians" watching over your shoulder and X2 thanks to the anonymous fixer upper. Enjoy Steve!
  17. Late to the thread but congrats Ric and hoping they sound better and better.
  18. My daughter thinks Saint Vitus dance is the only one I am capable of doing.
  19. Dropped my daughter off for her SAT test, fingers crossed. I just finished cooking a breakfast for the boys of bacon and croissants. As I am wiping down the frying pan I feel a very strong stinging sensation on my second to the last little toe. I immediately think black widow spider bite since we experience ongoing battles with the little arachnids every year. So I immediately start jumping up and down, swearing and shaking my foot to shake the little bugger off. Meanwhile one of my sons and wife are staring at me incredulously from the kitchen table believing I have bee afflicted by saint Vitus dance. Turns out it was only a piece of smoldering burnt bacon gristle which resembled a small spider..... I live to fight another day. Now trying to put a decent edge on my cleaver and it is not going well. I wonder why my family at times thinks I am so odd?
  20. Happy Birthday! Have a few beers to celebrate.
  21. Letter of Reference
  22. Sorry to hear Mike. Stay strong for your family as I know you will.
  23. Sorry to hear about your losses, losing someone so young and losing a family member are aweful experiences for you both to endure. I am really sorry for both of you.
  24. Signorello Cabernet Sauvignon, another Yountville trip discovery.
  25. Whoever said anyone here had good taste?
