Sorry to hear about this Al, I hope you two find a way through this mess. Our thoughts are with you. Well this is a really a "past 24 hours, what did you do" post. I just completed a whirlwind visit to Arizona to attend my aunt's funeral which I organized and financed since none of the other relatives could find the time to attend. Had a business meeting, business sushi lunch, and another meeting to review a project there in AZ. Sadly once my Mother passed away last November, my aunt's sister, companion and best friend was gone and it seems my aunt gave up the will to live. I am probably the only person on HC that has three hospitals, two funeral homes and three hospice care facilities on their phone contacts list---makes me a fun guy to be around I am sure. I flew Southwest Airline each way since it is the most convenient to Burbank airport but for some strange reason the whole flight I kept staring at the ceiling to make sure everything remained in place and that this piece of equipment did not come with the sun roof option. On the return flight to Burbank I am not sure if we had a hard landing or we were shot down but I now know what a carrier landing in an F18 is like.

If you let the Syrah breathe for 2-4 hours that burn should mellow quite a bit and the earthy fruit should become more prominent.

Temperature hit 91 degrees today so that means 2009 Peter Michael L Apres Midi. Goes awesome with this tripple cream Bergenost cheese and the sunset. Sauvignon blanc FTMFW! Cheers to Dinny, momma Dinny, little monkey and the Disneyland crew................

Dinny, have fun at Disneyland, much like your day job but with funkier tunes and neater trains. Shelly, Al congrats on the health front, may this trend continue. Blew off my morning bike ride due to my riding partner feeling ill. I know, lame excuse but sleeping in an extra 45 minutes may be what was needed. Spending the rest of the day shuttling the boys around to guitar lessons, and attending to my daughter's dining needs at school as she prepares for her upcoming exams and opening night of the school musical. Will spend all day tomorrow cleaning up the house, back yard and preparing the menu for Easter dinner. The first course is set five bottles of red and white wine, it's the following courses I am struggling with. This year has potential to be a large (for us) turnout.

Augsburger's response was in fact a question and only that. If you felt hostility from a question that quite well was rhetorical in nature then perhaps you need to rethink what you are doing..... or maybe not. Hmmmm. -
Renteria Russian River Valley Pinot

Maybe when I am done stropping my Monzaburo I should go polish my Armada?

Out of curiosity, do you plan to contribute in any manner to this forum or just milk it for all the information you can? Just wondering? -
Shelly, great news!

In keeping with the cocktail theme- Blackbird Vineyards Arise- a nifty Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc blend offering a very young Pomerolish Bordeauxish tasting red, quite nice.
-
Very nice, so Steve you really do work with wood? Oh, and very well deserved Al!
-
I love that car!

Great stuff!

Good call Shelly! Medoc Bordeaux is the shizzles. Dan got me thinking so I opened a petite Syrah-- 2007 Valdez Petite Syrah, really nice loaded with fruit and hits the mid palate like a fruit bomb. Me likey.

Took my son for guitar lessons, dropped my daughter off at school for their musical tried to set up a nice surprise for the gopher who is building his version of the Maginot line in my back yard and since the wife is working all weekend at the hospital doing a major system install I am spending time stropping my Monzaburo. A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Colin, if the BMW is shipped by truck three days possibly four with bad weather. Question, two or four wheels?

I would buy an iMac but the vendor at my wife's work says it will take at least a month. Oh and good luck on the counter offer Ken though I will hate to see you move.
-
Thanks Jacob. Anyone hear of any delays in iMac shipping?
-
My wife is trying to purchase a fully blinged out iMac for a new cancer researcher coming on staff this week and the purchasing vendor is telling her that Apple is having some sort of processor problem in the iMac and the delivery time is now four weeks. I did some searching on various forums and found no threads mentioning any recent problems with the iMac's Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. I even called Apple sales and went through the process of ordering an iMac to see if they were having any shipping delays and the sales representative said the iMacs ship within 48 hours. So is the hospital's purchasing vendor BSing? Anyone heard of any iAnything processor defect problems causing shipping delays? Thanks guys, I want my wife back but the hospital won't share.

Sorry Dusty, late to the thread and Ken is correct. The Ojai free shipping deals always work this way. Dan, make sure you let the wine breath for at least a couple of hours to tone down the alcohol bite. I hope you like it.

2007 Paul Hobbs Vice Versa Cabernet. No bear or dinosaur piss is used in making this wine or so I have been told. Rather tasty but the 2005 is rather tastier.

Sony probably used the ALO billing matrix at that time.
