  1. Sauvignon is gone. Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot. Initial whiff was that funky bread dough aroma but after an hour it has opened up real nice, no alcohol bite with a nice Pinot fruit layer.
  2. Obviously in your part of Florida Mike there are no earthquakes. Nice vinyl!
  3. Kristine Ashe Sauvignon Blanc, not sure what will be next.
  4. Two year subscription to a Food Allergy Network magazine for the wife, I am such a romantic, and the second installment to the painter. Jeff, what watch did you buy?
  5. Dan, when you go disc brakes we know you have joined the dark side. Congrats on the velo purchases!
  6. Well I guess the fourth time is the charm. After running to the post office (now I know why I avoid that place like the leper ward) for the fourth time I finally managed to ship a package off across the pond, but if things don't go right I may be needing a consultation with the HC legal team when the ATF or customs show up at my office. On the first two trips the PO wanted way too much for shipping then the PO would not take the package when I disclosed the contents so I just thought "WWMD", changed the shipping container, and viola, package shipped.
  7. Happy happy birthday Ryan!
  8. Kristine Ashe Cabernet Sauvignon-- while watching a very large bobcat lumber through our side yard.
  9. If I am understanding you correctly Dinny, you may want to consider this- Invisible Monkey Audio or Cheaper Invisible Monkey Audio Then hook these up to you Audio Engine 5s--- if you haven't sold them for something else by now.
  10. Al, Birgir is the HC baker, you need clearance from him whenever you post anything baked. Yay Ollie!
  11. Baguette-Consider yourself very lucky, congrats! Jim- Congrats big time! For me it was meet with the painter after they powerwashed the exterior of the house to discuss final details for painting the entire house and repairing about seventy feet of wrought iron fence. Painting the interior of the house will come late summer.
  12. 1998 Kalin Pinot ugggghhh! Tastes like the honey badger squatted on it, now if this was a southern burgundy region pinot with a little more chalk I might have paid extra, but not this Cali Pinot. At least I get to hear my daughter play the Phantom of The Opera live on our piano, nice consolation.
  13. Speedy recovery for Ollie!
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Good luck CJ, it is always better to pursue your passion, if that is what you are doing regardless of when you come to the realization. Nothing beats waking up in the morning and looking forward to what waits at the office.... unless of course your are the county coroner. Well after three days of whining and complaining I finally decided to step up to the plate and finalize the Easter menu. This year there will be no Easter ham, roast, mashed potato's or turkey, at my wifes suggestion we will be doing shish kabobs. So I prepared a Greek, curry, terriyaki, Cajun, and southern BBQ marinades for the eight pounds of beef and chicken. There will be basmati rice and risotto ai fungi, BBQ smoked eggplant, zucchini, roma tomatos, portabello mushrooms and carmelized vidalia onions, two pasta salads and lots of wine.
  16. Closed my office for Good Friday and spent the day hanging with the family. Then went to the Apple store to get my sons iTouch repaired. I hate you all for posting in the thread about all the cool MB Air stuff so I am now planning committed to buy an iPad, MB Air and other iStuff for my "office". I still haven't figured out the rest of the Easter dinner menue, I guess I will just leave it at the five wine course and let everyone else fend for their easter rabbit lovin' selves. Works for me.
  17. 2004 Signorello Cabernet Sauvignon. Goes well with oxygen............... Whew, glad you liked it.
  18. Sorry to hear this Al, legacy plaster walls are design and architectural treasures ( is that grammatically correct?). that sucks, drink up and tomorrow will be better. Well maybe anyway.... I will toast you with some Sangiovese which is Italian and in Italy they have a lot of plaster walls so this all fits in a karmic sort of way. Edit* spellcheck recommends replacing "sangiovese" with "hangover"----WTF? the Expanding Man- that martini picture is awesome!
  19. Are those mail order brides, au pairs or libations?
  20. I think Colin won the trip in a raffle.
  21. Prague and Budapest are beautiful cities you are a lucky guy. There is a restaurant right on the Danube in Budapest called Menes csarda or something , they have a saddle for a logo, check it out if it is still there the food is pretty good.
  22. 2005 Paul Hobbs Le Petit Vice. A very interesting Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon blend.
  23. Leave out the Beluga caviar and Veuve Clicquot next time.
  24. /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ WIN!
  25. This takes some really really big ones............... I be fast and brave
