/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ What they said. Happy Birthday from me too.

SL300, isn't that a Mercedes gullwing coupe from like the 1954'ish? Great car, I once dated a girl whose father owned one of those, but she dumped me fro a dentist from the valley. Just as well, she had bad taste in music. Anyone know where I can get a good set of HDMI cables that aren't cryo treated?

Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot.

Congrats Bryan, your new career path has great promise, that is one area that seems to be hiring and growing like crazy. Feel free to not post any shirtless manathon pics though. Al, had the urge to buy any lederhosen yet?
-
Happy Birthday Scott, where ever you are.

Before I wish you a happy birthday can you tell me how long it will take to build and ship a Blue Hawaii? Will you perform any mods on the said BH? Will you ship the BH to California for a dollar? Why aren't you still building Gilmore Lites? Well I am waiting for an answer..... Tentative Happy Birthday anyway.

In2, Berlin--- my old stomping grounds though this time I will have to use an alias. Dinny, I think I have one Mcrea left as well, you might consider the Peter Michael Chards. As good as the Kistler is, I kinda like the mid palate pop and finish of the Peter Michael's better, nonetheless they are both excellent. Koonsgard is pretty good too.

Nice "light" meal Al. Stretch, Stellenbosch rules, neat blend should be tasty with BBqed Wildebeast. Glad to hear Dusty that you find the Allagash Curieux is so good, I have a few stashed in the fridge for the time I feel like beering it. Perhaps it may be time to put some bratwurst on the barbee. For me since it is warm and sunny a 2005 Kistler Hydes Valley Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay.

Should be more than a "decent drink", I like it and so will you. (or else)

2006 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot. It's OK and takes forever to open up.
-
Given my very limited experience with Malbecs, I found it pretty decent and it was nice to step out of my Pinot/Cabernet comfort zone and try something yummy. Yay Al and gang, you should be able to experience a lot of really Gewürztramineriners and Rieslings over there, me jealous. *edit* fuggin' spell check

I don't think Shelly would edit her post in that manner.

Wayne, ever though of using a repellentepellant like those rabbit sprays sold in home gardening stores? I use a rabbit arepellentepellant that smells like ass and it does seem to work at repelling rabbits deer and Jehovah's witness folks for a few weeks at a time.

Still thinking about Spaten Beer but decided to do a little wine tasting this evening. First up a Renacer malbec, not bad probably go with a nice honey roasted ham at Easter (makes mental note)--- heads up to Dusty and Dan. Second was a Four Brix Winery Rhonedezvous, interesting blend of Syrah (the Rhone reference in the name), Mourverdre, Grenache and a varietal I have never heard of. Oddly have a very distinct aroma of Plumeria, haven't experienced that since living in Hawaii where I had a crap load of plumeria in our yard. Interestingly different and hard to pick out a dish that this would complement, perhaps a mild curry dish or a paella. Not a bad night but no religious awakenings as yet.

It's bad for your bark, and leaves one vulnerable to beetles and carpenter ants. Friends don't let friends expose their wood to carpenter ants.
-
OK, who edited Shelly's post?
-
winged carpenter ants are far better than termites and cheaper to get rid of which means more money is left over for cocktails! Al have fun with the family and FYI, I never ever saw any German frauleins that looked like the pictures [posted and believe me I spent a lot of time in every beer hall from Berlin to Tirol, the fantasy is a good one though.

/\ /\ /\ /\ This X2!

wow, seeing beer but drinking this--- H. Billiot Cuvee Julie this time and it is much better than the laetitia which ain't bad. Wow again, this champagne is really nice, like french kissing Audrey Hepburn; elegant, tasteful and much more than I deserve. Then again, life is not fair and sometimes I get more than I deserve.

David, in just two posts you have wiped out all of the organic wholesome diet goodness you built up over the past few months. Now come out here to the village and meet us for some BBQ lunch.....

I thought I would start him slow and easy, no need to break the bank on his first try.

/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ If you have a woody what the heck are 'ya doin' listening to music?

It hit the 90's today so it's time for white while toasting Al's safe and fun journey to the land of the Pilsners and Dusty's malbec journey. H. Billiot Cuvee Laetitia The foil is pretty cool too.. Taste is very interesting, strong note of citrus and almonds on the finish. This is a very good "producer" champagne worth at least 50% more than it's price, would go very well with chilean sea bass or calimari.
