  1. My condolences to you and your family Al, may you find peace in knowing that she is in a better place. I will be praying for you and your family this evening.
  2. Hong Kong Airlines Makes TSA Irrelevant
  3. Preferably the steak knife blanks are swedish steel or some high carbon content and if they are stamped as opposed to forged that they not be the generic high chromium flexy type like you find in the mall retailers. Oh, burl or inlay handles would be uber.
  4. Another convert to HC team Bordeaux! 2007 Signorello Meta. Now that it has had time to open up, this Cab Syrah blend is rather tasty. I am toasting the sunset and Stretch because i am sure I just saw a zebra run through the edge of my property just now. I am also toastind Dusty since I just smashed a black widow hanging out by my garden hose. Anything black triggers a Dusty toast. Cheers all.
  5. Awesome Gary, good luck!
  6. If you can source some good quality high carbon steel blanks and make a set of ten steak knives with a block holder, I would be interested and would shill for you on the 'bay. It would have to be in October sometime.
  7. Business is business. Besides "certified knob improver" might be a catchy title for your new website.
  8. Andy they look really classy, how is the fit though? As I recall your head is a bit larger than mine and the earlier iterations fit a bit too loose for me, compared to my W1000s anyway.
  9. 2007 La Jota Merlot. Went to a friend's house to pick up my case of Seasmoke Ten earlier today and hung around a bit for a Pinot tasting, I am now experiencing the wrath of (Mrs.) Khan. The good news for all you interested parties is that the 2009 is good stuff.

Sony Cybershot DSCHX9/B for when the wife and daughter travel out of town for my daughter's community service project and for the family beach vacation in August.
  11. Enjoying a Peter Michael Belle Cote Chardonnay as a way of congratulating Claire..... oh, and welcome back Al!
  12. Ding, we have a winnah!!!! Indeed it is and a youngun too. Gene snakes seem to like old French Burgundy because the really old Burgundies taste like mouse.
  13. Same Saturday routine- got up did a road ride, caught snake, Cheaper than a dog or cat took daughter to practice for her driving test.....
  14. Peter, that is some seriously awesome stuff! I kinda agree with Gene's suggestion about the career change. If nothing else, there are a number of wineries in Napa who could use your talents to dress up their websites and adverts depicting their vineyards and wineries. More than a few of them look like something I would shoot.
  15. Ojai Sauvignon Blanc, just the right stuff for the weather we are having. Wish I had some Reisling or a Tokai to toast Al's European Vacation.
  16. Save for any absinthe, it appears you covered all the drinking bases on that last shopping trip. Cheers!
  17. Hey I am honored and grateful to have so many great and crazy friends, thanks for the BD wishes. As you may have noticed (or maybe not) I have been absent chillin' with the family and enjoying the good life that I have. Ok, now back to work antagonizing co-workers and music interlopers, cheers, salud and prost everyone!
  18. Happy Birthday Mike!
  19. Happy belated Birthday Birgir. What with the time change and all, your birthday was last week right?
  20. Confucius say- "phones cheaper than stones". Mike, that watch and band are friggin' cool! You are my watch fashion God after Panerai Jeff.
  21. Obviously you are in "healthcare", my wife is paid for 30 hours and works 45-60+ hours all the time. Too bad she is such a dedicated employee and we have such an emotional attachment to her hospital, that's the way life is nowadays, so we deal with it. Woo hoo Shelly! Nice score, where you staying? There is a nice Japanese hotel next to the Grand Wailea that serves awesome flights of saki and sushi and there is a really cool sushi restaurant called Tokyo cafe that is worth a stop as well as Sensai too. Unfortunately they are short on good Malbecs though. Al, your German is getting better by the day. Prost!
  22. Ojai Mcginley Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
  23. Moar Williams Selyem Pinot cause it isn't warm enough for Chardonnay.
  24. Sorry, I have auto dyslexia. Perhaps the SL300 has just regular doors.....'jus sayin.
