  1. FWIW, I think this is the thread I kept for later reference once I go "mono". http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/archive/index.php/t-45635.html
  2. Ric, how do you handle the mono signal wiring from the TT to your pre? Do you use a Y female splitter? Needless to say that is one sexy TT, nice score!
  3. Sorry to hear about your eye/sinus pain Vicki, that must be excruciating. I have never heard of the hot hard boiled egg treatment, but I hope it works. If your Doc. recommends leech treatments or ear coning next I would recommend you get a second opinion. Get well soon.
  4. Is it me or is that Cognac pink in color?
  5. Nice looking score Stretch! Tonight I am drinking a Husic Cabernet from the Stag's Leap District so a SL alert goes out to Colin and Jeff, both Stag's Leap fans. This is a small production yet luscious Cab nice fruit layer depth on the palate that has a long finish. I will buy any Cabernet that has a palm tree on the label, and a nice score for me too!
  6. Fitz=epicness. Al, that fridge looks awesome, bothin content quality and historical significance. Ok, now that I have kissed up enough, I need to visit the Bay area for a manhattan bar tour.
  7. Mikey food/wine match for the win! Hanson Hseih Chardonnay about 1.5 hours ago and now for the Blackbird Illustration, fantastic bouquet on this Blackbird, like having Colgin or Scarecrow at one third the price. I am celebrating my close call with being a VW hood ornament on this morning's ride. It appears some So Cal drivers do not feel that after driving 75+ miles per hour on the 101 they need to stop at the stop sign at the bottom of the exit ramp let alone look for oncoming traffic or bikers. Good thing I have great lungs ( when terrified) and can hit a high C to rival Pavarotti other wise I might be posting from the ER or the morgue. Fuggin' ehhhhhh
  8. Hope your Dad is on the mend soon. Brent heal soon as well, Vicki enoy the rest of the day. Did I miss the memo somewhere so JP now back in FLA?
  9. Hanson-Hseih Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Not as deep and structured as the Peter Michael but tasty and will go great with the Caesar salad I am about to partake.
  10. Excuse me, as you may know English is my second language. Were you using that term as a verb or adjetive?
  11. Our condolences Ken.
  12. They are on Ebay right now.......gotta pay for that wedding ya know.
  13. Happy lated Birthday Tony!
  14. Porkalishiousnessfest! Can only be said without smpling some of Mikey's wares. Looks like you guys had a ball!
  15. A 1T WD Scorpio Black HD to install in my new Dell desktop because my eighteen month old HP desktop decided to join Walt Disney. I hate friggin' 'puters, but I need something to play all those ND's and high res music in my office while I surf the net and pretend to work. I am told that the WD Scorpio is a more robust HD than the OEM ones used by HP or Dell, I hope so because I will now keep all my documents and music files on the Scorpio, and shit that doesn't matter like Windows and MS Office I will just leave on the OEM HD. I wish I had backed up all my files more recently than four weeks ago.
  16. Sorry to hear about this Ken, enjoy Vegas if you can.
  17. 2007 Le Petit Vice Cabernet Sauvignon. Reminds me of Beckstofer ToKallon vineyards for some reason, starting to open up real nice.
  18. You might want to consider a ups or battery backup for thatsump pump yes? If the electricity goes out during a storm, which is entirely possible given some posts here, you could experience some real problems.
  19. Hmmmm, I buy from Tiger Direct periodically as well and my CC# seems to be compromised on average once every six months, I wonder. We are very careful with out on line purchases but I would not be surprised if some of the retailers we use have their systems hacked.
  20. Happy Happy Birthday posty!! There i one upped all of youse guys.
  21. Paul Berthelot Brut Dizy ( no idea what that means). Toasting to a safe and sound HCers.
  22. Your post reminds me of this for some reason...... http://youtu.be/ewpYq9rgg3w
  23. Some parts of the valley registered 104 on the car thermometer so I guess that counts, right? Sauvignon Blanc seems to have evaporated so I am now into the Lancel Vineyard Valdez pinot just 'cause....................
  24. Peter michael Vineyards L Apres Midi, it's frickin' hot here! Stay safe all you east coasters.
  25. White Burgundy was a no show so we compromised with a Châteauneuf-Du-Pape duo, 1967 Jaboulet then a 1990 Château Beaucastel. The Krug vintage1989 Champagn and the Châteauneuf-Du-Pape duo meshed nicely with the fried chicken, grits and collard greens entre. If Daniel Bouled did fried chicken and collard greens this most assuredly would be the meal. Dinner did not suck.
