Moar Peter Michael Belle Cote Chardonnay.

Wow, how long will it take to empty out all that beer in your fridge and stock it with some Stellenbosch juice? Nice view and pool................. no, awesome view and pool! I never would have guessed your last name was De Beers. Ok, spent this afternoon listening to some awesome vinyl, The Hot Club soundtrack and louis Armstrong and Count Basie (record 1 of 2) on a Clear Audio TT with a spectacular Clear Audio Goldfinger Statement cartridge. Despite the blingyness, the CA Statement cartridge sounds frickin' awesome and so did the vinyl. Be that as it may, I bought some vinyl.

Must be the wine, perhaps I should switch to Absinthe. Those tiny bottles look so cool, nice complement to a liquor bar.

Damn, after looking at all of those yummy beautiful dishes I feel like trailer trash.

It must be really difficult to sharpen and polish a edge with a 270mm Gyuto using a natural stone like this http://www.japanesenaturalstones.com/PhotoDetails.asp?ShowDESC=N&ProductCode=109 How do you control the angle when the stone has such a slope? I have been considering buying a natural stone but keep being put off by the awkward shapes of the stones I find.

What are the Uchigomori fingerstones used for, polishing the edge and removing stains?

Great! I have a few mono records and would like to see and hear what this mono experience is all about some day. Will be looking forward to your experience.

Ok, now I am a bit confused. A recent release of a Hank Mobley Mono Blue Note vinyl, " BLUE NOTE - BN 1560-MONO-200GR CLASSIC RECORDS - BN 1560-MONO-200GR" provides this information in the notes "Description: MONO recording. 200 gram LP. Another of the fantastic Hank Mobley Blue Note recordings featuring Donald Byrd, John Jenkins (BN 1573), Bobby Timmons, Wilbur Ware and "Philly" Joe Jones. As part of the Classic Blue Note Signature Series this LP was cut from the original full track mono master tapes on an all tube mono cutting system and pressed on Classic's 200g Super Vinyl Profile. Tunes include "Fit for a Hanker", "Hi Groove, Low Feed-Back", "Easy to Love", "Time after Time" and "Dance of the Infidels". So the Classic Records mono vinyl is OK with a stereo cartridge and the usual stereo rca hookups but the Blue Note reissues appear to mostly be cut with a mono cutter so they most likely require a mono cartridge with the Y wire rca cable to the phono pre?

Have fun guys, I will be toasting all your attendees................................and anyone not attending, as well as anyone flying or attending a football game or watching the game for that matter.

Neilmed, just checking to see if you were paying attention. I took apart two of the pillowcases but could not find any labels all I remember is that we bought them at Bed Bath and Beyond after looking everywhere for some decent quality covers. They are very heavy material like a 300pt cotton with a rubber type lining. The anti dust mite cases have lasted quite a while and remain in like new condition.

FYI for Naaman in six weeks. http://www.blueheave...om/concerts.cfm in which case this post will be deja vu

I hope my recos help. It takes about 2-3 weeks for the Zyrtec to kick in but it does seem to help and the Nelimed program really made a difference with my family. We ripped out all of the carpet in our house which helped with both the allergies and the snakes........................................................... .jus' kidding about the snakes.

http://www.surroundair.com/ionic-air-purifier.htm Highly recommended, we own five of these puppies placed around the house and in the bedrooms. I would also recommend you consider anti-dust mite pillow and mattress covers since that is where you spend from five to seven hours a day potentially breathing in allergens. Our Allergist does not think very highly of Claritin, and we agree since it seems there was very little benefit from this drug prior to moving to our new drugs. We use Astelin in the morning and Zyrtec in the evening and Nelimed sinus rinses in the evening before bedtime. Our Costco carries Zyrtec and the Nelimed rinse so that helps in the expense. There are three of us with asthma in my family and both of my boys would catch bad colds leading to pneumonia in years but since we went full monty with this regime, we rarely meet our Blue Cross deductibles anymore. YMMV...........

I envy Stretch, that looks like a mighty good Muscat. 2.5 hours til Cabernet time. *3.5 hours later* Gee you guys must be very busy this afternoon. I figured there would be a dozen posts following my last one before I was able to post what I am having with dinner. 2007 Ojai Soloman Hills Vineyard Pinot. Good, not great or awesome.

Yikes! Don't send him any pics or he will -
Wine from Valdez Vineyards (Pinot), Scarecrow Vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon), Harlan Vineyards (cabernet Sauvignon) and possibly Lewis Vineyards, I am on the fence with that one. Two LED upgrades for my Maglite 6D and 3D flashlights. http://www.batteryjunction.com/tle-300m-ex.html

Spent the afternoon at the photographer's viewing ( and buying) my daughter's senior yearbook photo's. This particular studio is pretty cutting edge and therefore uber expensive, but good. Amazing what they can do with teenagers and digital cameras nowadays. Unfortunately, after paying for all those "photographs" I find that i will have to defer the purchase of my Lamborghini for a while.

2007 La Jota Merlot. Goes exceptionally well with BBQed ribeye, potato skins from an Irish bar and oxygen.

How many penalty box minutes did you rack up?

Kosta Browne Sonoma County Pinot. I received an email this morning warning me that the wine to Scotch/rye/beer ratio in this thread was starting to fall to dangerous levels so I volunteered to help.
