  1. Hmmmm..... http://www.businessinsider.com/jimmy-hoffa-in-detroit-2011-12 suggest to the kind interloper that perhaps Jimmy might like some company.
  2. Nate did you give Fitz a hint on those choices or did he just know what's "good"? I would not know where to begin to find music for most of you guys. Even after lurking on the "What Are You Listening To" thread, I am still clueless music wise.
  3. Not bad actually, the last of the case though. Nice fruit forward presentation with good balance. This one is very approachable now. Yummy looking porterhouse Mikey!
  4. Sinatra Family Estate, Come Fly With Me Cabernet.
  5. On my office system. Sounds great but needs a wider soundstage which I will remedy at 5pm when I fire up the BBQ and bring out the BBQ cooking accessories.

  11. Awesome Wayne, staying on schedule will be a real challenge. Good luck!
  12. As you should.........
  13. Al, how is that Grachan Moncur? Right now just listening to a bunch of Christmas and Twilight songs in the living room while drinking some Veuve and getting ready for our Christmas eve dinner party. No matter how good ones stereo is and how good the source is, there is nothing better than live music played in your living room. It is a little bitter sweet for me because this is Emily's last year at home before she is off to college. Perhaps for a few more Christmas holidays we will be able to enjoy her playing but that will end at some point. *edit* But for now we are having a great time and the music sounds so real coming out of that Yammi. Oliver Nelson- The Blues and the Abstract Truth I moved the speakers out another 12 inches when having the room painted last week and the difference is huge! I wish i had done this years ago. The soundstage seems to bee deeper and wider with even better placement and definition of the individual musicians. The Veuve Cliquot works wonders!
  14. /\ /\ /\ What Antonio said. Since none of my bicycling crew has responded to my voice, emails or text messages I can only assume that like HCers at a national meet, they are lying in some bordello drunk as skunks and tomorrows ride will not happen. So with apprehension and a bit of nostalgia for Christmas past, I am opening another bottle of Veuve Cliquot Brut. This one I found buried in the back of my locker and it has an inch thick layer of dust on it. Since this is not a vintage champagne, this may not be a good thing, then again if the widow gives me a good buzz and I don't fly off a cliff on my ride tomorrow morning, all will be good. Cheers all!
  15. Received my gift from Justin today and it was loaded with Virginia goodness. Barolo for my next BBQ and some tasty looking cider for post hangover recovery. Thanks Justin! I love discovering new things to eat drink wear or wrestle with. an I especially like it when they are booze oriented
  16. I don't keep a list by growing methods, Saxum Vineyards is one off the top of my head but there are a bunch more, if I can remember them I will let you know.
  17. One of Santa's NYC elves sent me this video. It's so moving I shed a tear................. http://youtu.be/OZqz94ODz18
  18. Actually, a lot of great vineyards including most that I subscribe to, are going or are already biodynamic, so great wine does not negate healthy wine consumption. Again, Cali and some Rhone and Burgundy vineyards have been leading the way since many owners and winemakers feel natural growing methods yield richer more complex wines. Pesticides and fertilizers have been suspect in the shortfalls of many wines making them flat and dull tasting albeit cheaper to produce with higher profit margins.
  19. Well everyone knows that a healthy life style is the slowest way to die. All the wineries I buy from use virgin glass, bottle cleaning is a euro thing from what I understand.
  20. Vlad (the vizsla).
  21. Whoa! David, you know what trout do in the mountain springs right?
  22. Colin, you and Jacob are the resident culinary thought leaders, please open a reataurant so I will have a new place to lurk.
  23. Veuve Clicquot Brut, toasting everyone who reads this post. Matt Barkley= woohoo! I shall kill the bottle tonight!
  24. My condolences to you and your family Mike.
