  1. Finally got mine today but neither have an amp nor an adapter to hook it up to laptop. It's very pretty to look at though. The hf2 also took forever to ship, and email response time has been absolutely horrible, but at least Todd was kind enough to eat up the additional shipping costs to China.
  2. Japan would be nice. Haven't been there yet.
  3. Not too many, around 50-100, and Todd says he ships around 50 a week.
  4. Al, what I really liked about the PS-1 was the really liquid midrange - as overused as the description may be. I don't really know how to describe it, but through the PS-1 the music just sounded really life-like with good weight behind the notes. Although the frequency balance and tone were a bit odd, or rather my ears were just biased towards Sennheisers back then, the weight and "roundedness" in the midrange made the PS-1 really special. Does the HF-2 retain some of that quality?
  5. This is why I shouldn't frequent these forums. Just wanted to check whether there has been any new headphones other than the HD 800 only to find out about this HF-2 and place my order an hour later. And I was so content with my iPhone/ESW9 combo.
  6. Unexpected and greatly appreciated, thanks a lot guys. I broke the screen of iPhone two weeks ago, ruined the screen of my Macbook over Christmas (thanks mother for opening the roof window when my Macbook was lying under it) and broke the ESW9 this week (still don't know how). But today, my replacement screen for the iPhone came and a project was approved, so it's a good start into a new life year. And happy birthday Jahn!
  7. Omnifocus 1.1 for the iPhone will FINALLY bring Bonjour sync so I can stop using that Apache Webdav hack. Supposed to be released soon.
  8. No address book synchronization (unlike the real Skype) is of course a big minus (even more so since iPhone doesn't have copy paste), the login interface could be improved and buddy names are not editable, but other than that it works as advertised.
  9. Just came out: http://www.fring.com/download/iphone/ Multi-chat tool like IM+ but one that also allows VOIP calls using Skype and apparently even SkypeOut. Will give it a try later but it looks promising.
  10. Just got myself a factory unlocked iphone from Belgium for 615 EUR. That pretty much depletes my gadget budget for the rest of the year. Can't wait to use Omnifocus on the iphone though.
  11. This campaign could turn into something pretty good. First of all, everybody's talking about it now. It's easy for Apple to do a "Mac vs. PC" attack campaign from their market challenger position, but Microsoft can't do that and they can't run a campaign too focused on features either because that'y not their only target group. Also, being cool or sexy has never been part of MSFT's strategy. From TechCrunch: In an email we’ve obtained from Microsoft SVP Bill Veghte to all employees, he talks about the goals of the campaign. The overall goal is to inspire consumers and “tell the story of how Windows enables a billion people around the globe to do more with their lives today.” This first phase, he says, “is designed to engage consumers and spark a new conversation about Windows – a conversation that will evolve as the campaign progresses, but will always be marked by humor and humanity.” I think they're on to something. This time they've hired a top ad agency, Crispin, which has revived some brands before (Burger King, Mini). Anyways, I don't understand sure why MSFT needs a marketing campaign anyway. Those who already have MSFT software won't need more of it and those who don't already moved on because they got sick of MSFT software.
