My deepest condolences Al. Never met her, but it sounds like she had a wonderful life. And having met you I know she was an amazing Mom. I will toast her this evening.
I've been contemplating going with an OptiBay and replacing the DVD drive in my MacBook Pro with an SSD. Throw the OS on a 40 GB SSD (Intel's are about $100) and use the 500 GB HDD for storage and such. Probably Bootcamp too as I don't give a shit how fast Windows is. I only use it to be a slave to the man at work.
Last night was just her and acoustic guitars, save one song with her sound man on trumpet. 80% instrumental. She was very talkative between songs, very funny. And very obviously gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Because she had a good time, we had a great time.
Wow, how did I miss your news Bryan? Congrats dude, it's great having you remain in the neighborhood. And I'll bet Allison is pretty darned happy too!! Beers on me next time around.
The Kaki King show was excellent. First time seeing her and I was bowled over. Amazing playing and she was very talkative, seeming to have a good time. And on the walk off of her main set I got a high-five from her. A good night!
