  1. Stunning. You can tell from Barry Lyndon that before Kubrick was a filmmaker he was a very accomplished photographer.
  2. Barry Lyndon on Blu-Ray.
  3. Yes. They actually did not sell out until well into the afternoon. And a Behemoth bomber. Plus a Broo Doo, Drunk Monk and a Behemoth on tap for lunch. Which was a beef carbonnade with green onion spaetzle and arugula.
  4. Nice. It can be fun to revisit that stuff. I went on a hunt for Stroh's longnecks a while back, because it was what my Dad always drank. I found some and it wasn't bad. And the memories were worth it even if the beer had been piss.

  10. My point wasn't so much about the earbuds, but to highlight Tyll's comment: That doesn't happen when visionless MBAs run a company.
  11. ^^^This. I hope the company keeps the attitude and spirit of innovation Mr. Jobs had. RIP Steve. And thanks.

  15. Four Kumho Ecsta 4X tires for the Miata.
  16. Rittenhouse 25 Sazerac. Yum.
  17. Started the night with non-Rittenhouse Manhattans (nonhattans?) because I'm saving it. So Bulleit rye instead. Then onto Redbreast 12 washed down with FFF Bruce. Buzzed? um, yep. Happily.
  18. Happy Birthday to Santa Wayne. I'll drink and watch you and Nums trade insults across a patio table at Mayberry any time. And you have an Atom. You are my hero. Happy Birthday Steve, keeper of The Tapes, and fellow F1 fan who appreciates the old school. I'll toast you and Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill and Gilles Villeneuve tonight. Rock on!
  19. Good luck Ken!
  20. Carmen. He loves the maraca's.
  21. Tickets to see Bryan Ferry at the Lyric Opera House in Chicago.
