  1. Yep. We split. A lot of people were not happy. And when I pointed this out to a few of the Floyds folks I know, I got nothing but an arrogant attitude back. We didn't even think about staying for the Melvins. And I think it may be a good while before I go back to FFF. I can get fucking attitude anywhere. I'll be damned if I'll pay a premium for it.
  2. Once we get our beer we may be out of here. I've got a back ache and I'm hungry and I don't feel like paying extra for the meager food.
  3. Nearing the back of the warehouse. Wearing a Strummerviille sweatshirt and a grey stingy brim hat.
  4. Thanks Al, but I'm pissed at my fave brewery. 3 hours and I'm still in line for beer and probably still an hour away. Fuck this. This is the worst run event I've ever been to.
  5. How close are you? We're in the cul-de-sac in line.
  6. "Perfect" martini's. 2oz. Gin, .5oz dry vermouth, .5oz sweet vermouth. And I kinda like it. Even though I am using the Shelly-hated sweet vermouth.
  7. Get the surgery Al! Then I can fly out and draw a huge penis on the cast!
  8. Just read the following interview of the founder of Dwolla - an online payment company that has a very simple fee structure. Twenty-five cents. Transaction for $50? $.25 fee. Transaction for $5000? $.25 fee. The catch? No credit cards. But read the article. Those of us who have sold or bought high ticket items have been through the PayPal fee shit, and these guys seem to want to beat that. I have zero affiliation with them, other than I just opened an account after reading the info. So take a look - it might be very useful. I saw it originally on BoingBoing. http://www.businessi...w-years-2011-11
  9. For Dreadhead and toasting his mother-in-law (RIP) Fuck Cancer.
  10. I see an amp listen and adult beverages get together in our future......
  11. ^^^^^^Double this!
  12. I think some of us who frequent the drinking thread can imbibe in your honor tonight, and in memory of your mother-in-law. I'll hoist a couple for that noble purpose. Be well Chris.
  13. You'll get the job or we'll come out there and kick their asses. Fuckers.
  14. Happy Birthday to the Wizard of Whisk(e)y!! Enjoy, Mikey!
  15. Happy Birthday.

  17. RIP Joe. I have many fond memories of watching boxing with my late father, and the Ali/Frazier fights were amongst the best. Gives me a warm feeling looking back.
  18. G&T right now. And Jeff, we really like the Spotted Cow.
  19. And this one is listed on CocktailDB as a Yale Variation. Need to get better sweet vermouth. Ran out of Dolin a week or so ago.
  20. I suspect you may do it with a bit more panache my friend. But I am just an apprentice.
  21. Saw this described as a Good Times but I'm not sure if that is true. Anyway, 2 parts Old Tom Gin, one part dry vermouth, twist of lemon.
  22. A metric shitload of G&T today. Skipped my normal Sunday visit to FFF as my free cash has recently disappeared. Oh well.
  23. Agreed. We saw her in Chicago last spring and the multi-layered loops really just kind of take you over and transport you. Truly amazing music.
  24. Maserati's. Me like. Have fun little brother. Tell Allison we said hi!
