Thanks again guys & gals. It was an excellent weekend. Home now just kicked back drinking a Manhattan. Tomorrow, real life returns. Boo.
Got a new mortar & pestle, instant read thermometer, grilling tongs and the entire UK series of Life on Mars for my birthday so I'm pretty pleased.
Thanks to all for the birthday wishes. No storming FFF today. I was in St. Louis at Debbie's brother's and we went to Schlafly Brewing's Cabin Fever event. 32 beers to sample outdoors in 36 degree weather. We dressed for it and had a great time.
We're now whipping up some fennel and sausage soup. We have plenty of beer and some Eagle Rare 17, so the evening is covered.
Thanks again folks!
Nice Raffy! It appears to be breakfast for dinner night. We had scrambled eggs with pickled jalapeno's, hash browns and thick cut bacon. And I kept the theme up with vodka and orange juice. It was good.
I am about an hour from Purdue Lafayette, and we have an extra room. And I am 25 minutes or so from FFF. And I like my Uncle Al. Keep these things in mind.
Don't look at it as a failure Ken, it's just the end of another chapter in life. You're a good guy. Work will come and life will go on. Good people don't lose, they move to the next step.
Trust me, the ability to smile and actually eat a hamburger tonight (without a knife and fork) has been excellent. Patch aside, thanks for the well wishes folks. You really are a great bunch of people.
I got a gift in the mail from my dear friend John today. And while the Bell's Palsy has been getting better day by day and it's almost to the point where I don't need the eye patch, I had to model this as it is the perfect eye patch. Thanks John!!!
