So.... Kimi back to Ferrari... Next year is going to be VERY interesting.
-
I found it on Ebay for $13.50. Please note I have not ordered this bit it's in line with what Jacob paid. But as always buyer beware. Additional note: Shipping is $10 and it states it ships for Israel.

Gumball is adapting quite nicely I'd say.

This. Big man when he's raping and torturing women. Not so tough when he had to pay for it. I hope hell is real so that limp dick can burn for eternity in it.

Bryan and Allison came down for a visit today. Had some Dr. Pepper pulled pork (thanks B&A) on ciabatta bread, corn & radish salad and roasted potatoes with a tomato alioli. Drank some beers, whiskey etc. Hung out and just had an excellent time. A great way to finish up the holiday weekend.

You could always go this route Shelly - think of it as exercise. We have my mom's old hand cranked meat grinder. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002L84GJU/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1378066268&sr=8-2&pi=SL75

Condolences Steve. Give them some time and then suggest a visit to an animal shelter. A few tugs at the heart strings and they'll adopt a new kitty.

Took Debbie out for a belated birthday dinner. Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba in Chicago for tapas and paella. Started with a Pintxos platter - chorizo wrapped date & cheese, bacon wrapped shrimp, goat cheese croqueta with lemon gastrique, short rib stuffed paquillo pepper, deviled egg with mustard and bacon and a roasted beet crostini with herbed goat cheese and hazelnuts. Then on to the regular small plates. Rioja-braised short rib, manchego mashed potatoes and squash. That was followed by seared octopus with padron peppers. Next was shrimp with garlic, olive oil and red pepper flakes. Last was spicy potatoes with a tomato alioli. Then came a seafood paella - shrimp, bay scallops, monkfish and green beans. Helping to wash this down was both a peach and raspberry sangria. All of the small plates were delicious, but the paella was bland with mushy rice. Debbie and I agreed that the last paella we made at home was better. So there some good and some blah. Regardless, we had a good time.

Looking like rain here so I'm doing pork chops in cast iron on the stove and Debbie is whipping up a fresh corn and radish salad.

Happy Birthday Jack!!

Nicely said Steve. I go back to the early '80's and am amazed at how much the sport has changed, and yet stayed the same. Spa was an excellent race this year, and I was happy to see Fernando eak out a second place finish. But you guys in California, and maybe even you Antonio, might have heard me praying VERY LOUDLY for rain in those last 10-15 laps. But, it was not to be. Next up, my cathedral - Monza.

Summer break is over and the next two races are my favorite of the year. Spa #1 and Monza #2. Let's see if Ferrari can pull its thumb out.

Second set was as good, if not better than, the first. Blue Sky, a stellar Dreams and an awesome cover of Into the Mystic. All in all a great show. I think what most amazed me wasn't the crushing guitar work - I expected that. It was Greg Allman's voice. With all of the health problems he has had over the last few years, I expected his range to be restricted as many older singers are. Instead, he sounded like it was At The Fillmore East all over again. Several times during the show I looked at Debbie in astonishment at how strong he sounded. But, as great of a show as it was, it was partially ruined by inconsiderate cunts (TM Voltron Enterprises). After having two guys behind us talk through the first 5 songs loud enough that they were competing with the guitars, I turned around and asked them if they would be talking through every song and if so, why they paid what they did for their tickets. They apologized and shut up. Two songs later, the woman sitting next to Debbie sees someone she knows and now it's family-fucking-reunion time. For two songs they talk and partially block Debbie's view. Finally Debbie had had enough and told them "We came to listen to the band, not you two talk!" They stopped. And then her and her date/husband/pimp/whatever moved a seat over to separate themselves from us. I told Debbie we should have moved right back next to them. Assholes. This has happened to us at the last few bigger venue shows we've gone to and it is making me question whether I will attend any more of these bigger shows. But in the end, the band was awesome and we came away loving the show. And tomorrow I'll have flac files that will have no talking audible.

They are doing it. An astounding "Jessica" to close the first set. "Stormy Monday" was really good too. Both Derek and Warren have been on fire tonight. And I love the fact I can download the show on flac tomorrow.

At the Chicago Theater to see The Allman Brothers. I am stoked.

Happy Birthday!! Again!

Happy Birthday!!

So, after a week of safe room confinement, Gumballhead seemed ready to try the whole house again. She seemed pretty happy, hanging with us part of the time and under the bed or back in the safe room part of the time. But she is not low walking, has been running and playful, and also hanging out in the windows checking out her domain. So pretty good so far. Debbie took this earlier.
-
Gumby is a noisy cat too. Right now I like that. But ask me again in a month or two...
-
Since going back to the safe room method, she is now eating anything and everything we put in front of her. Even dry food. So again, human error seems to be at the root of her problems. We are taking our sweet time with her now and she is a much happier feline. Matter of fact, here she is:

Happy Birthday!!
-
Still in the safe room and last night she finally ate wet cat food. And a fair amount of it too. Progress!
-
I'd still be interested and suspect others would as well.
-
Is any of this being recorded? Would love to hear it.
-
I agree Carl. I just want her to have some peace and quiet in a place she feels safe. We'll see how the next few days play out.
