  1. A wonderful pianist has left us: http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5jysfV8l_cM9t30j6K61HrnzB_i2w RIP
  2. The wife made a cornbread/pork sausage/egg/topped-with-sliced-apples kind of thing for a late breakfast/early lunch that was fairly tasty.
  3. Borders had a list price of 79.95 and I had a 40% off coupon so it was $47 + tax. All of the CD's have an additional inner sleeve and look like 45's including the fake grooves on the label side.
  4. The Clash - The Singles. 19 CD's with all of the UK singles plus additional songs, all in reproductions of the original 45 sleeves.
  5. If we could see full face smiling shots of all of them, wouldn't that be redundant?
  6. Oh, and welcome. I can guarantee I will never say anything interesting.
  7. Yes, thanks for the info. I'm ready to travel down the RS-1 road in the near future, and was wondering how different new vs. old could be. So I guess I need to look for older, but the recent price elevation is scaring me off just a bit. Always late to the dance....
  8. Cool. That almost appears to be Revilo pulling a Kliban.
  9. Not technically eating it right now but I did sample it - I just finished making a batch of Pico De Gallo to take to work tomorrow. Flaming good with 4 jalapeno's. The recipe calls for seeding them and removing the ribs but that neuters the batch. So at 8:00 AM it'll be flame on.
  10. Thanks from an enthusiastic Doctor fan. And to meld memes, here's this:
  11. Picked it up tonight. Will comb it this weekend for Michael O'Donoghue bits.
  12. Shit, I thought it was the dog talkin' till I scrolled right.
  13. Minus the tofu that sounds pretty darned tasty right now. Sociables crackers for me right now.
  14. Happy B'day!!
  15. Yes, I distinctly remember someone saying "I'm buying one of those" after listening to my Zana, but then he got caught up in all that speaker hocus pocus... I'll keep my Zana. Though I've not heard a lot of Singlepower amps, I feel the Zana is giving me great sound for the money.
  16. I just picked up the Janowski Ring Cycle here: http://www.berkshirerecordoutlet.com/ (Search for Janowski Ring). for less than $50. 14 CD's, the recording, to my ears, is very good, and it gives you an entire bloody Ring Cycle. Can you get more epic than that? The downside is it took about a month to arrive. Here's a review: http://www.wagnerdiscography.com/reviews/rin/rin80janowski.htm
  17. Some guy named Jacob lured me in with whiskey, cigarettes and Grado's and I've been so psychologically broken since then that I can go nowhere else. Oh, and I saw and liked the cool kitty picture on the front page -
  18. Keep your eyes open for a dark grey Mini Cooper. I should be there about January.
  19. burried in bukket.
  20. Sure. Not that far out of the way....
  21. Gather a few folks from Ohio and I could be persuaded to drive over from Hoosierville again, provided it ain't snowing. Sometime after the first of the year would work. I missed the last one at Earl's but I'd be up for another go.
  22. And Park West is where I've seen them the last two times. This should be very interesting. As for recordings, the Fripp/Belew nexus have recorded tons of stuff that later was dropped, evolved into ProjeKct stuff or was later recycled for Crim. So having most of an album in the bag will be no impedement to Uncle Bob.
  23. Here's the bigger versions of a couple of pics. I'm just providing the links instead of hotlinking them so you can decide to view or not. http://www.s93913010.onlinehome.us/chiuni/Chiuni4Big.jpg http://www.s93913010.onlinehome.us/chiuni/Chiuni5Big.jpg
  24. I'm not knowledgable on the Electrostats, but if it helps, I have much higher resolution versions of those same pictures. If anyone wants to see them in original size let me know and I'll upload them and link them tonight.
