  1. Tiny bits of mango from my fax machine.
  2. American cheese on saltines. Not so tasty but available.
  3. And look for Cherry Bawls - in 16 ounce cans. A gas station near work carries it. I love Bawls.
  4. Well we knew that dipwad. It doesn't mean you can dis Sir Arthur.
  5. Wow Reks, can we at least let the corpse cool down a bit? I had just started re-reading (for the umpty-seventh time) Rendevous with Rama. I'm a big fan of Clarke. He comes from the era of Sci-Fi writers I grew up with, and his books will always hold a revered place in my library. And he did fucking so invent the telecommunications satellite!!
  6. This afternoon, as a way of refilling the system after the colonoscopy, I had two full Carne Asada dinners from a local Mexican place. Perfectly grilled marinated skirt steak plus refried beans and rice. Ate every bite. And it was wonderful! And doubly happy as the scoping came back clean.
  7. Liquid diet weekend. And in an hour or so I get to drink 1.5 ounces of Fleet laxative to prep for a colonoscopy on Monday. Getting old fucking blows goats.

I shave my face and my head. Try a nice laceration behind the ear sometime if you want to know real shaving fun.
  11. Took my first stab at making paella tonight. A fun experience but the result turned out a bit bland in flavor. Basic elements were chicken, artichoke, green beans, lima beans, tomato, arboreal rice, chicken stock, smoked sweet paprika, garlic and safron. I think more tomato was needed, and I'll be on the lookout for different variations to try. Here's a pic:
  12. Jalapeno cheese and Ritz crackers.
  13. Happy B'Day!!
  14. Reks, intrepid adventurer!! If I climb out of bed it's a success. Mountains? Not likely.
  15. Not when it's the love of your life my friend.
  16. Yes, that kind of friend. Though it can only end in tears. And lost Grado's. And I'll concede that you need it. But only just.
  17. True dat. But mine is for love. Yours is for simple avarice and self gratification.
  18. Just ordered Grado SR-60's for "my friend" at work.
  19. Cute little buggers, aren't they? I love mine.
  20. Just received this: "Generative software" from Eno that does art and music. I've only given it about 10 minutes so far but it looks interesting. Sound - meh so far.
  21. Navy bean soup. The local butcher/market makes up several soups and freezes them. The navy bean is very good, with large chunks of ham.
  22. Excellent JBLoud. We can now break into a chorus of "Ebony & Ivory".... On second thought, lets not. But glad you like it. I use mine daily just for around the house surfing stuff mostly.
  23. Hard boiled egg, liberally salted.
  24. Thanks for the well wishes. It's not an ideal situation but then again, what is? I can't elaborate, but I've been happier over the last month or so than I can remember being for many years. So things go on day by day and I'll see where it leads.
