  1. Hitachi 12" compound miter saw.
  2. Me either, but I keep watching. Catherine Tate as the companion just really grates on me.
  3. Howdy Dom. Welcome to the funhouse! Mike
  4. Yep, I got a free 1 year subscription for joining Salon.com, thinking what the hell I probably wouldn't like it. But when that was about to expire I renewed for 2 years because it really has been a worthwhile read.
  5. A salad made with Romaine hearts, roasted red peppers, red onion and artichoke hearts. Dressed with a light white wine vinegar & olive oil and sprinkled liberally with freshly grated parmesan. Yum.
  6. Can you deal with fur everywhere and horked up hairballs and smelly litter and speakers treated as scratching posts? All are possible. And don't get me wrong - we have 3 cats and I love them all. Just trying to give you reality.
  7. Tommy is in front, looking stoic as any cat lover will recognize. Willy is the upside down guy, being the goof. They are brothers, adopted as ferals from the local Humane Society right before they were due to be put to sleep. They are still a bit skittish, but good typical kittehs.
  8. Awesome pic. Looks like they are good buds.
  9. They can be. We've become a magnet for the harder cases for some reason, so our latest, Marco, has been quite the handful. We've had a total of five so far though, and most have been good after some work. The thing to keep in mind is that racers only know kennel life, so when you adopt one at 1.5 - 3 years old, they will be like big dumb puppies in your house. They usually aren't house broken, don't know about things like stairs or glass patio doors etc. So it can take some work. But once integrated into the home, they are calm, loving and devoted dogs.
  10. An older picture but my all time favorite. Cleo is the silver cat in front, Gypsy is the brindle greyhound on the sofa. Tommy & Willy are the cats (kittens at that time) snuggled up to her butt. The handsome boy on the floor is Twist. Unfortunately he's no longer with us. Bone cancer took him earlier than we would have liked. Not pictured is Marco, another brindle greyhound, and Basil, the ball python.
  11. I listened to some Richard Thompson and the acoustic guitars were so clean and sweet. And Jimmy Webb singing Wichita Lineman with just piano with a little guitar was so wonderful. The most realistic I've heard a piano sound and you just slid into the middle of the vocal. I knew then I had to have a pair.
  12. Man, impatient youth these days..... Here's just few crappy shots I snapped, there are a ton more on HF.
  13. That's putting it mildly. I really did not want to take them off my head. They seemed made for the Zana.
  14. Maybe later if you behave yourself.
  15. Headphiled K340 on my rig was killer. So much so that I'm looking for a pair to have modded. Nothing was better than anything else, just very balanced and fluid with good detail. But it takes a shitload to drive them. Normal volume on the Zana with Senns or RS1's is 9:00 - 10:00. With the K340's it was 12:00 - 1:00. And my new RS1's had their ass handed to them by vintage RS1's. I mean the new ones aren't bad but there's so much more there with the older version. But I'll stay with mine for now. Also of note (to me anyway) was GLF's Bottlehead S.E.X. amp. I've heard it evolve since last summer in Wisconsin and it is an excellent sounding amp. Maybe better with Senns than my Zana. It was a good meet overall.
  16. First, glad to see you found this little hell hole of a forum. Second, I may be interested in the Boltz racks. I'll see you on the 19th and we can talk about it.
  17. Cannellini Bean Salad: 4 (15-ounce) cans cannellini beans 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced (about 1 1/2 cups) 1 bunch arugula, thick stems removed, washed and dried 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar Handful washed basil leaves, roughly chopped 1 teaspoon salt 20 grinds black pepper Damned tasty. A staple in our house.
  18. A Calphalon double grill pan.
  19. Happy Birthday!!
  20. KC have just announced some gigs in August. They're playing Chicago, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to go. Personal matters may make it difficult. Lineup is Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, Gavin Harrison, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto Dates here: http://www.dgmlive.com/tour.htm
  21. And just a quick tip - 1 vicodin + 1 shot Nyquil = very slow wonderful evening. Not that I've ever tried it....
  22. If it weren't for bad luck.... Get better Jacob. And to the asshole that hit you - Fuck off and die.
